    I'm actually confortable reinstalling windows once per month. (hopefully there is still a trial period). I get it, software is not free but it's still too expensive for a $300 monthly payement. I love you Romania!

    Yes, it is outdated. But if you already own an AM3+ system or you have the oportunity to upgrade for cheap, the performance is plenty on 8 or even 6 cores.

    Sounds cool but it's two or three times overkill in a normal consumer grade rig. What I think is that this PSU is just for show in a market where a 500-600W component will bring most of the profit.

    Most of us use an SSD+large HDD/s in our rig. The quitest HDD will be louder than any decent <800 RPM fan, so the quietness of these new products and premium fans in general is wasted. Of course, looks is a factor, and performance at that low rpm is there too.(but not that much better physics sais)

    Google now is useless in most countries and Android 4.4+ is plagued by this nonsense. Hopefully, Microsoft's Cortana will be awesome and Microsoft will be willing to port it to Android so we can use it instead.

    The amount of instructions executed per second. That's all of it! It gets alot more complicated with multithreads and stuff but fundamentaly, a "fast CPU" opens the thing, renders the thing, closes the thing, does the given job generally faster. Clock speed, the size of caches, a larger TDP, even the core count are all tricks to increase that IPS.

    reset windows, simplets fix available. you could scan for viruses, reinstall the faulty programs using advanced unninstallers... but all those take time and stress.

    I guess that the new CPU release from Intel will bring the FX's prices even lower! TBH I'd risk on FM2+.... HSA optimised software is coming fast!

    Had a 960t with the same motherboard. It was stable only with 5 cores enabled at decent clocks tough...

    Try to find the instable module. If you find it, you can blame the CPU only.

    The optimisations are more dependant of the GPU you play with! My Fx 8320 has all the cores loaded at around 60% when playing this game and I see almost no fps increase or decrease when overclocking. So get the GTX 760 or even higher if you lower to I3.

    It actually depens of how much heavy is the workload on those two threads. It's much more complicated than you think: even if the OS reports that one core is at 100%, the workload is passed physically from one core to another to keep the heat output minimal. That's especially true when Boost is enabled.

    I I do get your point but still...I woudn't upgrade from PD to Escavator just for 10-15% better performance because is almost enough for now.

    do you still have the stock cooler? use it, it shoud do the job at stock voltage and clocks.

    FX 4100, 4300 and 4350 are all canibalised like crazy by the very similar priced FX 6300. FX 4350 should have been a good choise for gamers because of its full unlocked L3 cache but the price of it makes it irrelevant over the 6300. Oh and FX 8320 is not that expensive to jump directly to it! And this one is no doubt a high end CPU! Stock freq shoud be ingnored by the LTT community.
