  1. I get that 7970 is still powerful, but come on AMD, at least do like nVidia did with rebrands, lower that number if you rebadge it... R9 270X should be named, and clean up some of that low burget cards mess...
  2. Hopefully this is one of the last big games that my super awesome cheapo 7970 bought from a bitcoin miner will not play to its full potential because nvidia. Aka DirectX 12 is near.
  3. It may sound bad but we, the ones who know what junkware means, will not be affected. And tha's OK.
  4. So...it's only for timelaps or some kind of no weird wobbling warp stabilizer like adobe has?
  5. So....there is still no reason to upgrade from 7970 on single 1080p monitor.
  6. why does this look offending to me?
  7. I had a somewhat small problem with this tablet - the virtual keyboard was not as fast as i'd exected to be. So I wanted to reinstall the OS by reflashing the rom/tool provided at http://www.needrom.com/download/chuwi-vi8/ . It went well, the OS installed but at the end, that tool updated the uefi firmware too. I expected that, i kinda knew what I was doing. At about 80% of uefi flashing, the device went blackscreen and today it's still like that, Maybe battery was too low or it was simply the wrong Bios-uefi This is the first device I permanently broke.... It cannot be connected to a PC simply because it's a PC by its own... Or is it? There is no info on flashing dead win8.1 tablets on google.... Please help me out!
  8. I may sound like fanboi here but the my ex daily driver (Lumia 520) already had HD voice, boy that sounds so clear and loud.... And dual sim ? Unless this gives me dual umts support on my Moto G 2014 (and it won't), I will not call this a new feature. HD voice I suspect it won't come as well because it's too advanced for my budget phone!
  9. My Windows Phone broke (screen damaged). I coudn't decide between Moto G 2014 and Prestigio 8500. I decided now. As simple as that!
  10. You know what? Keep your very efficient 25W TDP GPUs for mobile devices and give me the same arhitechture@ 300W TDP so I can still justify the usage of a classic desktop.
  11. Did the same thing to my super loud 7970 Windforce 5X so now I can live in peace! EDIT: I hate the new Afterburner skin, looks childish to me...
  12. I have a 2x 4x100W LEDs lighthouse on my crane at work and it's working 24/7 for 3-4 years now. The price should be under $100...or alot less when the company buys like 500 of these for industrial use. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/200W-400W-LED-flood-light-outdoor-wall-lamp-18000-lm-Bridgelux-chip-ideal-replace-400W-metal/32240920148.html
  13. I have an 7970 with fx 8320. Everything is good, besides power consumption !
  14. here are some (very) low quality pics: The PCB is about 1 cm too long, it's now in the dvd bay area... Flashed an Asus 280x bios with my custom clocks, voltages and fan profile. It's not that noisy, especially when that one faulty fan is stopped. Very proud of my aquisition, I am very sory about the dust and picture qualiy, I will do a true build log if anyone is interested.
  15. These banks are awesome. You can travel large distances without any worry. I used to like...swap out the phones battery when travelling for 3 days...
  16. I don't mind downloading a huge patch like this, as long as there will be a truly functional game now!
  17. The SF 550W has a really stable 12v rail.. I think I'll use the entire PSU just for the card. EDIT: nope, I won't! read this : http://www.overclock.net/t/761202/single-rail-vs-multi-rail-explained
  18. I own an FX 8320 and using software rendering only, most of the times I don't get dropped frames in premiere...
  19. I hightly recommend an used for mining 7950/70. You'll essentially have a 1080p monster at $130....
  20. 7750. lower than that is a waste of money. get a used one, it's so cheap these days.
  21. I basically gave to my friend (a video editor and photographer) too options: An used i7 other than first gen New build with 8320 if he was scared of waranty. He ended up getting a used Fujitsu Workstation (2600 non k, 1TB, 8 GB) for the price of a current gen I7. Passed him my HD 7770 an now he has a super awesome gaming rig and workstation. But my rig is a lot awesomer after getting this.
  22. With a knife and lots of patience I could straighten the aluminium fins after taking the shroud off. But the air will still have to leave on the sides... (the vapor chambre gets in it's way).
  23. I will do some high quality DSLR pics but no fan/cooling mods right now. ( 3 days return policy)
