Gotta say, I really feel Patrick B shoulda won, and that the chosen runner up was a great 2nd choice. I usually side with most of whatever Linus chooses, but I feel like the entire office shoulda judged on this one, or had a public vote to weigh in.

I would love my 3D print sent to me Linus, I live in Canada and I am willing to pay for the shipping.

So I've been working on a build for my friend, it was a budget build but he needed a pc to use for school and he liked being able to upgrade.
I built it with him and taught him the basics while doing it and telling him some of the times I messed up which was common.
He was nervous as he didn't want to spend his only money on a heap of metal that he wasn't sure would even start but I assured him it would.
After maybe 50-70 minutes of building and cable managing we decided to plug it in, and to his amazement everything inside turned on. I placed it on the desk beside the monitor, pulled the hdmi that went from my pc into it out from the monitor and into his. Meaning I had my pc connected to his through hdmi meaning a no signal error appearing on the monitor. I acted calm but really I had no idea what was wrong, everything seemed okay. After a hour of research on APU's and hdmi's I came to no conclusion, and was prepared to tell him the harsh reality. I leaned back in my chair and it finally hit me what had happened and I started crying in laughter. He did not find it as funny as I did. 
 
I feel like a idiot.
 
TL;DR: I plugged my pc into my friends pc after building it for him by hdmi instead of the monitor thinking it was the monitor, we panicked and thought his new build broke, he nearly cried.

I went and liked and commented on every printed design i liked and then came here and found the ones that were better rendered and went and liked those. I don't think it should be determent by downloads anyway as not everyone has a reason to download because not everyone has a printer.
I generally like the designs that are more than just a stick on the wall, models that have things like folding, modular bits, cable management etc. just the ones that have imagination in them.
I'm also not keen on designs that will more take control of a theme in the man cave like the silverstone snow flake one but it is still a nice design and it stands out from the crowd.

i have mine since a year now, i scartched out the soft touch by trying to clean it
 
but yea, imo, really custom laptops have a market

Scaling is always annoying during design, especially on a computer screen, maybe microsoft hololense will live upto the hype    I had a virtual wall drawn in solidworks, used keyshot to render it with various headphones to see what it was like, looked ok but out of paranoia made a cardboard model just to make sure    I'm working on designs for my portfolio so I kept track of how I went about this project,  used hackaday.io to log everything  https://hackaday.io/project/6174-wall-mounted-headphone-stand

I hope you guys will be taking any renders or additional pictures uploaded by the designers into account... some of the official setups were... in error....

Thanks, I like your design too, I didnt think about RGB's, now that would be a pretty awesome feature, I kept my design simple but being honest I spent way too much time trying to find the shape for the bar segments, I didnt want simple round bar, drew dozens of shapes on a white board before I settled on that one, even made a cardboard model to see if the scale was just right     overall I'm happy with it. I love contests like this that give you that chance to create something.

The issue with this one is that it's mounted to the wall the complete wrong way around, look at the user submitted photos which have the silver background, then look at how MMF mounted it.  They've even got it wrong on the photo with the headphone hanging on it.  That's properly unfair on the guy who submitted this, he sent in a picture of how it should look so what more could he have done!   

Don't worry, Silverstone and I will be looking through all of them

Well its 250 watts and 12 volts, so it should be around 21(250/12) amps. You mentioned SLI in the title, and then it would be double, so 42 amps in this case.

This one has to be up there with the most stupid of all the mistakes they've made! Not only is it upside down in some of the pictures, it's also attached to the wall at the wrong end, even though clearly the submitter provided pictures showing what it should look like, how is it possible to get this so wrong?!
