So I was scrolling down Facebook and saw this video. The middle part is from the long cable video from a few years ago. They didn't give credit for using the video

So, I (used to up until today) use Betternet VPN so that I could access blocked sites in college, but today when I loaded up my laptop I had adverts everywhere.
I opened Chrome as a guest and they went. So naturally I disabled all extensions and enabled them one by one to find the problem. And to my surprise it was Betternet.
If you look at the reviews in the Chrome Web Store everybody seems to be having the same problem so if you have it installed, uninstall it.
I don't know whether it was intentional or whether they were hacked but until now they seem to have been reputable.

I would buy the 7700K rather than the 7700K. The formentioned one will do much more squirrels per second compared to the rather slow 5.1 rural based MP4 streaming the other 7700K provides. With that being said, buying a wet towel and some lettuce might be a good idea when it comes to pricing of those CPU based hamsters.

kburton97 reacted to Vigilante505 in Pixel making me consider a Windows Phone?
Pixel is a nice phone in that its the entry for Google into the phone development business. From the ground up this is a Google phone in the same way Apple makes their iPhone. My problem with it is its turned from an enthusiast Nexus phone into a run of the mill iPhone clone. There is nothing on that phone that makes me want to spend $865 to upgrade from my 6P.

Since the Nexus program is dead and Pixel is a few years out from being something I'd consider, I may go back to LG phones. The G4 was garbage for me but I owned the G2 and G3 and loved them. If the G6 isn't a gimmicky piece of crap like the G5 I may end up switching back.

Now, that Google Home and Google Wifi tech is pretty sick...

The only good side to living in a somewhat urban area is that you get somewhat decent internet speeds. My actual house is in a reasonable sized town near Durham but get's absolutely nothing in terms of fast internet. Unless you count 4G, I get around 100mbps laying in bed, as long as I hold my phone at a certain angle a certain distance away from the window.

We used to be with Virgin Media here but we got rid of them because we didn't watch the TV much. We then decided to just go with TalkTalk because they were pretty much giving it away. At home, we just upgraded to 'fibre' with talktalk so we get 30mbps, but I can't really complain because when our contract ended I was talking to them and just kept asking for more and more stuff so I ended up getting unlimited 'fibre' broadband, TV, mobile and anytime calls to anyone for half the price we were paying. TalkTalk must really want customers

The best thing about it is that I can tether. I managed to use about 25gb just using my phone (A mixture of Prime Video and Youtube).
I had the phone tether to my XBOX and Laptop so I could use the fast internet.
We don't have fibre as it's not worth it here (according to TalkTalk we would get around 20mbps) since we get 15mbps anyway. That drops to 3mbps once the WiFi reaches my part of the house (through 3 solid brick walls) but with EE I get a solid 45mbps all of the time with around 30mbps upload.
When I was with Three I would get about 15mbps over their 3G network, so I can't imagine their 4G being that different from EE.

With EE, all of the sims are multi sims so they have nano, micro and mini sim (and full sim if you can find a phone that takes them ) which means I have many sim adapters laying around the house for when I swap phones (my new phones typically last about a month before they get damaged).

Wait, isn't that EE 100GB sim only offered for the summer? Where/how did you get it? I was using EE for about a year before I moved to Three few months ago purely for the unlimited data but I kinda missed EE excellent coverage and stupidly fast 4G. I could've gotten the BT mobile deal (basically EE network) under my house internet account but it was too late before I even knew about it.
