  1. ...Last week LTT introduced a new host in a DUMPSTER. ...The same Dumpster Linus was in in this video now that I think about it... ...Is the Dumpster now a set? o___________o
  2. Google would be a pretty bad search engine if the YouTube channel and website wern't in the top results, don't you think? The entire CONCEPT behind a search engine is to provide a user with he most relevant results first. Like, if you googled 'Nintendo Switch' and the first result was 'Light Switches' at Home Depot and the second result was the 'Dom/Sub/Switch' section on the wikipedia article for BDSM, you'd PROBABLY be like 'Oh so this is a garbage search engine and I won't use it again.'
  3. Yeah but he's in Venezuela. That place barely HAS banks at this point.
  4. This. If the wifi doesn't work as I carry the laptop between the bedroom, to the kitchen, or the living room, or if I just have my back turned to the router as I sit at the table, the wifi might as well not be there.
  5. That doesn't really work though. It's a pretty apples to oranges comparison. For a desktop PC it's entirely possible to re-use peripherals from the last desktop PC, even the monitor can be reused. A laptop is a single unit, once you retire it, you retire ALL of it. Also a LOT of desktop PCs are actually sold with nearly everything in the box except a monitor. Keyboard, mouse, even speakers. And then their use cases are different, again, I'm stressing portability here. Desktops to laptops is, simply, a largely apples to oranges comparison.
  6. No, it's portability. It's CERTAINLY portability is what laptops cater to people with. It is ONE computer that can be used in MANY places. That's who it caters to, people who want a machine that is portable, a full PC that they can use at at their desk at work, in class, on the couch, in the coffee shop, where ever. Any other consideration is secondary. Who is it that I'm explaining that portability is the critical consideration in why laptops outsell desktops on THIS FORUM of all places???
  7. Easily, yes. Though, and to be clear I'm not SUPPORTING this, it would significantly increase the barrier to entry for minors to access porn. In that the current barrier to entry is '...Are Mom and Dad around? No? *incognito window*" The current level of effort is literally only a notch above zero. If you need one of these keys you'll someone to supply you with one, almost certianly an adult. They'll cost money so who ever 'hooks you up' will probably want money, maybe even some profit. Or maybe you know someone and you share the key? They still needed a hookup. You could try a VPN but those can cost money and online payments can be tricky to a lot of minors. Free VPNs can be pretty bad. I'm not saying that a LOT of people couldn't circumvent it cause for sure they would, but you'd def see lots of minors with no useful connections who will be unable to do so as well. But again, this is because there are currently no meaningful obstacles to minors accessing porn on the internet beyond just getting caught by their parents.
  8. Anyone walking into a big box store to buy a PC will have a helpful clerk who will not only tell them what peripherals are included with their desktop (And a LOT do come with everything except a monitor) and that the store ALSO has everything that is missing and they would LOVE to help them load up their cart. But really, the 'Dollars' argument for laptops over desktops doesn't hold a lot of water, it's just nerds trying to make arguments. The reason that laptops outsell desktops is very simple: Because they can put their laptop in a bag and carry it around with them. A desktop is more of an appliance, you set it up and it sits THERE. It is an EFFORT to move a desktop to a different location. A laptop just turns off and goes into you bag and you can take it between school, home, work, on a trip with you, ect. A lot of people, shockingly, really like that.
  9. It's the highest efficiency 10 000 BTU window air conditioner I could find. And it's a wifi powered IoT one no less and even works with Google Assistant and Alexa. By June the Russians will have this thing will be mining cryptocurrency and running DDoS attacks for sure!
  10. The best thing about queer culture is how it's just so much more open to platonic skinship. Nothing like cuddling with friends on the ocuch while watching The Rock in Jumanji.
  11. I was young but I'm told today. However to my knowledge there have been no permanent effects. My tongue looks normal and at least as well as I can reprieve my sense of taste is normal. (Granted that's highly subjective) Granted I was like 6 or 7 at the time, my body has grown about a batrillion new cells since then.
  12. I licked the front porch's metal railing, in January, in Labrador, Canada. Then I panicked and pulled away really hard.
  13. But that's not the gamer's problem. That's their parent's problem. Amirite? :V
  14. It can be safely assumed that any phone using an external microphone will have that combined with the ear buds. On a PC however, many users use SEPARATE microphones. I for example use a stereo headset and then a seperate boom microphone from Rode. A combined mic/headphone jack would only invent a new need for a headphone/mic jack splitter cable for those wanting to use seperate headphones and microphones. Also, frankly, with criticisms like this, I think you're kinda missing the point of a desktop PC: They are supposed to be big and flexible. Having lots of extra ports and expansion options that you'd have to sacrifice for a smaller form factor PC. It's akin you complaining that a pickup truck is wasting lots of space by having that empty bed behind the cab when that space can't even be used for passengers. That's not what a pickup truck is for. It's so you can have lots of space to carry stuff.
  15. Oh my GOD, I had only looked at the MONTH not the YEAR of the quoted post. o______________o
  16. Yes, you digging up and quoting a month+ old post just to respond that you think schools having Anti-LGBT clubs in this LGBT thread is for sure no way you trying to start some shit in this thread. Not in the slightest. No siree bob.
  17. It can also be critical to consider power consumption vs you're actual use cases. A typical 802.11ac router consumes around 10 watts out the wall. That's pretty low. If you're going to use an old PC you could increase your power consumption ten fold easily. Even compact NUC like devices would still consume a fair bit more. So then with that power consumption considdered, also against the initial investment costs of a low powered x86 option like a NUC or the like, do you actually NEED this for your use case or do you just think it'd be 'neat'?

Anime North is 2 weeks away but our badges are…

    You got that right!
  19. This has only convinced me that this is TOTALLY happened to you. In fact, if you were in the grocery store RIGHT NOW trying to make a decision, waiting for the internet to guide you, I'd believe that.

Yeah I don't think so. These are just for us. And I have $1000 set aside for spending money there.
  21. Ha ha, I let the count down expire and it immediately restarts from 20mins. It seems to run that in a loop to keep the pressure on despite the number of units sold not changing.
