  1. So, I can't stop the CPU_LED from being red upon powering on. I've checked the pins and they're all straight, none bent. I checked VRMs under the heatsinks and nothing seems visibly damaged, tried 2 CPUs (i5 4460 supported natively and a Pentium G3258 which requires a BIOS update). I received this board from my old work experience for free so I never got a chance to ask how it all started, but i noticed that when I unplug the 8-pin CPU power, the CPU_LED doesn't show up (Not sure if that matters or not). Just asking if anyone would have any knowledge on if this is a fixable problem or if its good for show on my desk or wall? If more info is needed please let me know.
  2. Maybe try disabling smooth scroll? Not sure exactly how to, just know its a possibility
  3. Make sure you've installed Intel's HD Graphics control panel first or else you'll be stuck at low res
  4. Unless it's EXTREMELY terrible, something like 0.01Kbps will get you no where I assume. Isn't it more bandwidth related other than speed related?
  5. Ethernet card shouldn't be any problem at all, unless it's somehow interfiering with the audio connectors on the motherboard (White noise?)
  6. Sounds like something might be shorting it out. I'd recommend taking the motherboard completely out of the case and trying that. If that doesn't work, keep the motherboard out of the case (On something rubber or plastic) and take out the Power button connector and instead try a screw driver. If those all don't work, it would be narrowed down to a PSU or motherboard problem. It wouldn't be a CPU problem as even without a CPU, a computer will still power on and not turn off straight away. Do some trial and error, take out ram, take out the CPU even just to try until you're down to just a bare motherboard and PSU. If it still doesnt work, it's one of those two. (i dont think it would be tho)
  7. Try disabling all other Playback devices except one. Trial and error would be a last resort if that's the case. If not, check drivers? Maybe try installing realtek hd audio manager if not yet, or other necessary applications or drivers. If worst comes to worse, you may have shorted something but i doubt it.
  8. Wait, is it possible to do that? 2 GPUs connected with no SLI?
  9. You using the Front panel Audio headers or Rear? Also, may sound dumb, but, you're using the green one if so?
  10. Don't mean to be annoying posting on this old thread, but to anyone's concern, I couldn't replace the capacitors, but, I'm still here 4-5 months later running a million times better than before I put it in the oven. No random screen twitching or dead pixels etc. Even tried to overclock because i was considering getting a new GPU but its still okay even after a 5 hour long Furmark test with a 300Mhz boost!
  11. It's working better now than before i put it in the oven. It was dead before i did
  12. Is it worth the time and effort if my computer is still doing this? (Before i did the oven trick, it used to do this when i launched games. It then stopped completely, then oven, then it worked but still does this)
  13. Sorry, last one!! I promise! http://au.rs-online.com/web/p/aluminium-capacitors/0571723/ only because no delivery cost.
  14. Ahh, okay. Would https://www.jaycar.com.au/330uf-16vdc-electrolytic-rb-capacitor/p/RE6188 Be okay? Its 330uF. I'm not smart about these things so i think it wont, but I just want to know if ill either have to pay 20$ delivery charges for a 70c item or just drive and pick up this one
  15. Is there a uh... easy way to do that?
