  1. okie cheers, yeah i didnt know if there was some sort of adhesive i could use just to seal it back up . ill use the gorilla tape for now then. I rang up lenovo and they said it would class as accidental damage. which i understand however i feel that even though glass if fragile if should never break under such circumstances
  2. hi guys quick question regarding if there is any recommended type of glass glue to use on small cracks. So somehow when closing the lid of my laptop the charging cable got stuck in the corner of the screen and somehow with the smallest amount of pressure has managed to crack the class in the bezel. The crack ( as shown in picture) is right in the corner and does not go anywhere near the touchscreen panel. I had it quoted at 350 pounds to get repaired but as a student i do not have that money and i do not have accidental damage cover. therefore did not know if there is some sort of glass glue i could use to reseal the glass to stop it from flaking off and the crack getting bigger. thanks in advance
  3. What thinkpads series I'm kinda overwhelmed ?
  4. I am doing Biochemistry at university so I don't believe that I have a required software (not any that is going to be too demanding if so)
  5. Hey guys I'm off to university in a couple of weeks and need a laptop to take with me but the problem is I've not really kept up to date with laptop components over the years . So was wondering if you geniuses could lend a hand budget - up to about 600 pound (uk) programmes - Abletlon , serato ( both music software ) then obvious office programmes for work . Not going to be a gaming machine uses - mainly for uni work but I will be using for my Digital Dj controller and obvious general tasks preferences - SSD ( if possible at price range ) - nice build quality - No TN panels at least 1080p screen i would like a sturdy laptop that is easily gonna live me out for the period of my uni course sonif that means spending more now then I don't mind . Im not sure if my expectations are realistic but any help would be ?? Thanks
  6. ? sorry doing this post in my phone , but cheers for the help
  7. Cheers guys I thought so , it's been over two years , actually had the problem about 7 months ago but I went of travelling for 6 months and just got back so was just trying to sort it out . Okie I'll get a new cooler on the order ! Wanna take it to uni with me so just wanna get it sorted out now rather than leave it last min
  8. Really struggling and would appreciate some help . Everytime I boot up my pc it starts fine but then after about a min of being on it shuts down because of high temperatures . I've got a cooker master single fan AIO water cooler on my Fx -8350 . I've tried replacing the thermal paste and then sometimes it works for a couple of days but then seems to just go back to the same issue ? Is it something wrong with my Cpu or cooler or how I apply my Thermal paste etc ( btw pc was running fine for like a year and a half before this occurred . The blue light on my cooler is on when the pc is on ( so don't know if it's possibly a pump issue or not !)
  9. For the last few months I've been having intermittent issues with my cpu cooling . I've got a cooler master seidon 120mm and what happens is that my temp randomly rocket and then my PC shuts down . Ive taken it apart on two occasions and then reapplied thermal paste and sometimes this seemed to work . I'm really struggling and could do with some help . Cheers guys
  10. could possibly be but the lights for my gpu remain green even when the pc powers down literally only just started happening as well
  11. so i turned off my pc via the power button and then when i started it back up it stays on for about 20-30 seconds then randomly powers off. the light for my gpu is still on even when the pc powers off , one thing i did notice was that the cpu water cooling block in really hot to touch after the pc turns off ! tried booting it up a couple of times and the same thing happens - i think it may be my aio may have packed in. whats the best course of action to take from here onwards ? put on my air cooler and try to boot up from there ?
