Alright so im brand new to this kind of stuff. Been wanting to do a bit of overclocking since i have pretty premium components. i5 4690K, GTX 970, 8GB or gskill ram 1600mhz, and my mobo is MSI Z97 gaming 5. In my bios i see a button that says "overclock genie", i havent clicked it as i wanted to talk to you all about it first. What exactly will it do? Also is it completely safe to use, as in it changes everything that needs to be changed so that it  will boot fine and not have any issues? My CPU cooler is the EVO 212 coolermaster.

Prime 95? Thats the software to put load on the CPU right?

First build is done, sadly my ram did not make it to my house yet so I'm just waiting on that. Everything is installed and the wire management is pretty dang good I'd say especially for a first build no wires in sight and all fans have perfect sir flow. Sadly cannot start it as don't have the ram and it's getting hard to wait haha. I'm just worried hopefully nothing is Doa and as soon as that ram comes can enjoy my 970!

Hey everyone just wanted to say thanks to the people that gave me lots of info with the questions I had. Bought all the components today hopefully everything comes by Thursday and should be up and running by that evening. I'm super excited first time building but I have swapped, and changed components numerous times before this is just the first time I will be building the entire rig. Needless to say I'm very nervous, but it's that exciting nervous! Can't wait to finally be playing games in 1080p with a banging fps, got a 970 coming. Just wanted to say thanks!
