  1. Hello again, is it worth saving ~25-30 € if you buy a reference 480 (XFX Radeon RX 480 XXX OC, 8GB GDDR5, HDMI, 3x DisplayPort) instead of for example a two fan 480 XFX Radeon RX 480 RS TripleX Edition 8GB (RX-480P8LFB6) Are two/three fan really that much better? As far as I can tell the clockspeed isn't too bad??? https://www.notebooksbilliger.de/pc+hardware/grafikkarten+pc+hardware/xfx+radeon+rx+480+xxx+oc http://www.mediamarkt.de/de/product/_xfx-radeon-rx-480-rs-triplex-edition-8gb-rx-480p8lfb6-2182972.html Wanna have some more confirmation or denial or whatever Thank you in advance !
  2. Thanks for the infos. Maybe I just get a 8 GB RX 480 then. Let's see what AMD's new CPU can do next year!
  3. Greetings, I would like to try to avoid to universal question, but I need more infos or ideas. The main problem is that I have an old computer at the moment from 2011 (AMD Phenom II X6 1090T, Gigabyte GA-810A-UD3, 8GB DDR3 and GTX 260²). My Palit GTX 560Ti 2GB is broken since early 2016. So, Should I just buy a RX 480 8 GB (or equivalant) or buy a complete new system. 1. Budget & Location Germany so € aka. Euro. Budget is my biggest questionmark. I want the best (or very good) value system without having to buy a new system in 2 years or having to upgrade in 3 years. I don't think spending more than 1000 € is worth it, but I am not sure. 2. Aim My most common use of the system would be gaming and general browsing/media. Maybe some light PHREEQC/Modflow/3D Modelling work. Games: Dark Souls 1/2/3 Grim Dawn / Path of Exile Overwatch maybe Deus Ex Borderlands 1/2 Dota 2 / Cs Go 3. Monitors Current goal always 60FPS+ and if possible higher if one monitors with 75+ hz are affordable. Resolution is not that important for me (Currently on an ancient 1280x1024 60Hz). Will use an old monitor as second screen. 4. Peripherals None needed atm. Proabably going to run Windows 7 64-bit, but I have a copy. 5. Why are you upgrading? My Current system is 5 years old and I have the feeling a simple GPU and SSD upgrade won't be sufficient! Thank you in advance for input, LL
  4. I could not figure out how to change my Gleam account name ... Hope you dont take it personally ... Gleam seems bugged
  5. Since when is the WAN Show - the end all be all news show? IMO it never was and i don't understand the whining ...
  6. I also need a new GPU and atm I'd choose the 480 8GB. Just because the 2 GB VRAM difference. Isn't that important for future games/performance? I do not see anyone here talk about the RAM (6 GB vs 8 GB) And:
  7. Do they already have a techquickie for GPU (V)RAM and its usages/problems/types ?
  8. it seems microsoft needs money and doesnt have more ideas for good games/hardwares
  9. With my Sony Xperia i can't play Pokemon Go for some Reason, so i need this
  10. Need this Never really heard of feenix, looks interesting
  11. i'd like to have a new GPU beucase my old one died (560ti) and im now using a 260² and can't use dx11
