I would buy the 7700K rather than the 7700K. The formentioned one will do much more squirrels per second compared to the rather slow 5.1 rural based MP4 streaming the other 7700K provides. With that being said, buying a wet towel and some lettuce might be a good idea when it comes to pricing of those CPU based hamsters.

Been a fan of LinusTechTips for about a year now and I finally Decided to Share My PC Build, BUT It is all about what I got working

    First specs:
    Dell Optiplex 360
    750GB HDD
    4GB DDR2 Ram
XFX R7 240(I know it sucks but I like it and it was all I could afford for gaming ;-;)
    Here is is...

XEON X5450 - This mod converts LGA771 to LGA775, and the Optiplex I used worked with A02-A07 bios versions no custom Bios needed

look up on ebay or amazon 771 to 775 sticker then follow YT vid
You will have to cut the tabs that prevent you from installing the wrong CPU in the socket off

WARNING: I will not be responsible if u bend a pin, I do not recommend this but I took my hand to fix my Pins and what do u know, It worked(btw my motherboard could have been dead)

    ty for reading

Part it out and sell the parts for the prices they sell on ebay for. Just what I would do to maximize the cash for a new build.

I am very curious to see just how big a difference this system will make over my current system!

Anything higher than 55c on Maxwell is usually not going to yield you higher clocks.  To get any better, you'll need to drop below 55c consistently.  35c or lower is better.

A lot of times, just lowering the temps on the core can make a clock stable that hadn't been before.  Maxwell likes to stay chilly.

Just play around with the clocks and use FireStrike (Normal)

4 GB of VRAM seems a bit low in my opinion, if I'm planning on using this card for a few years.

I'd go 970 SLI for now, as long as you don't have to pay much for the card. Yes it can have issues over a single card set up, but a 1060 isn't a big step up, and there isn't a (currently supported) option to double that up further down the road.

A second 970. Moving to a 1060 wouldn't be much of an upgrade.

Lol, I'm not sure but I don't see the point in spending lots of money on a CPU if all I do is play games which are easy to play
