    Update #1

Soon after getting it all together, I took it back apart and painted the GTX 970 White.

If anyone is thinking of doing this to their MSI GTX 970, MSG or reply and I can help you out.

Kinda, that monitor is one of the old ones that I just brought to my basement to make sure it worked before I brought it up to my desk so I wouldn't have to work on it up there.

Here is a picture of my full setup, sorry for the mess.

The monitors are 2 23 inch monitors from HP, and I am ordering a third for surround gaming!

    Thanks

    Hey Everyone,
For a while I have been into PC gaming, though my system could barely keep a constant 60 fps in games like minecraft even on the lowest settings. I decided that it was time for a change so here are the parts that I have chosen for this build.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant   CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($199.99 @ Micro Center)  CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler  ($26.98 @ OutletPC)  Motherboard: MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($119.99 @ Newegg)  Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory  ($99.99 @ Newegg)  Storage: OCZ ARC 100 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($80.00 @ Newegg)  Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($47.99 @ Best Buy)  Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card  ($329.99 @ Amazon)  Case: NZXT H440 (White/Black) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($99.99 @ Newegg)  Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA GS 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($64.99 @ NCIX US)  Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro OEM (64-bit)  ($131.65 @ OutletPC)  Total: $1201.56 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-06-27 16:50 EDT-0400   I went for a black and white color scheme because I enjoyed the classic yet industrial look of the black next to the white.   Finally all the parts arrived (accept for the GPU and RAM, as I got those later that night for my birthday )     The case is apart, The CPU is in the Motherboard, now I just need to find out how to attach this CPU Fan.   She Boots up!   GPU is put in the next day after the longest day of school I have ever had.   The Glorious before and after photos     Many of you may have noticed that the GPU is red and black when I said that I was going for an all monotone color scheme. This will soon be fixed as I am spray painting the red part tonight so follow to see that.   Thanks Guys

The red accents are basically bolted onto the shroud so you will most likely need to remove heatsink cooler from the card and go from there removing the screws holding together the red accents and reassemble after painting.

Steal a harddrive out of it for storage, maybe the RAM, you don't need super high-speed RAM anyway because it doesn't make a noticeable performance difference. If there's a decent amount there, put it in your new build. Maybe use it as a Home Theater PC. Give it to a relative/friend who may need it. Turn it into a fishtank. Set it on fire. Sell it. Use it alongside your new rig for running programs that you don't want to run on your main rig to save performance. Turn it into a makeshift server. Use it for rendering. Cloud computing. The possibilities are endless.

I have a curved ultrawide in front of me atm. It's glorious. I've never had 3 monitors, but the bezels on my two monitors have annoyed me, so I can imagine it's the same or worse with 3.

Racing on an ultrawide is great imo (The Crew).

I recommend selling the 2 24 inch monitors and using that to bring the cost of an ultrawide down. Then get the Dell U3415W. It'll still be more expensive, but I would say it's worth it.

Since those monitors have a small bezel, another thing I like about the curved ultrawide is the PBP feature. Picture by picture. It basically lets you take the monitor and split it in half for two 4:3 displays on the same screen.

Why you might ask? To hook another device (computer, or wtv) to the monitor. Useful for tinkerers with multiple computers.

I mean, honestly, you can't go wrong either way. Both are great options. I just know that I love the curved ultrawide.

    Hey everyone,

So I'm getting a new computer on sunday and I was wondering what the best set of monitors for gaming would be. In general I play racing games so keep that in mind.
At the moment, I have 2 24 inch 1080p monitors, and I'm trying to decide if I should just get one more, or get an ultrawide display.

Please tell me what you thing, whether I should get 1 more 24 inch monitor or 1 ultrawide display. Make sure to take price into consideration, as the 24 inch would only be around $150-200. Also please include a link if you suggest an ultrawide display.

    Thanks

Edit: Also make sure to keep in mind these 24 inch monitors have a fairly small bezel at around 1 cm per monitor
