    A few good IDE's would be Atom and Aptana Studio, both of which can be used for a broad spectrum of languages.

    I used to be an apprentice to a computer repair shop and this guy comes in with a massive rig, completely customized and worth over $2000. It continuously gave him errors and would not start up, it would just black screen and rev higher and higher until you cut the power. Turns out he had bought RAM that was 2133 MHz when he had enough power to run 1600 MHz; in other words, he shrimped out on the PSU. The thing is, the RAM was incredibly expensive <can't remember the brand, it was gold-plated/colored>.

    Considering you can run basically any game reasonably well on an i3 paired with an R9 270, I think this post is a big fat potato itself. Of course you won't have 16xMSAA or whatever, but it'll run just fine.

    I have been doing quite some graphic design now (just a hobbyist). it's lots of fun and I can learn a lot from it.

    I don't recommend cloning your HDD.  Its really easy to reinstall Windows and the benefits outweigh the shortcuts of cloning, just use this guide:
