  1. I have tried these drivers, Valley went from 90fps to 107fps on my 5700XT, and Wolfenstein new order was smoother than the older drivers, still capped at 60fps.
  2. Nope it isn't even hardware accelerated, it used a software renderer, although there are wrappers available to get it to use 3d acceleration, not sure how they would work with modern SLI though.
  3. It's night shadows that cause the slow down, turn them down and it will be fine.
  4. Try lowering the power limit by 10-15 and voltage to around 1150mV, this should bring the Temps down 10-15c and the card should still clock around 1800Mhz.
  5. I rolled back to Windows 10 after 8 days of using 11, Didn't really like the Start "menu" firstly, not really a fan of the new right click context menu's adding an extra click to get to things didn't work for me, I can see why they would want to keep the menu less cluttered, but this had the effect of making it less efficient for me. Overall there was lots of little bugs nothing major (eg. Youtube mouse clicks not working for me in chrome to pause video). The lack of the taskbar clock on the second and third display was annoying and having to download a third party one is something that I should not have had to do. I didn't really notice any drop off in CPU performance, and games seemed to work pretty much the same as windows 10 for me. I will reinstall once the platform matures a little, as windows 10 is fine for me.
  6. I don't pirate games these days, I don't have any moral objection to people doing it, I just like having my games updated hassle free. I do have a price limit of £25 for what I am willing to pay for a game though, which ain't really a problem as my backlog of games that I own is about 800 games long, So I hardly ever buy a game on release day.
  7. GTA 4 was a beast to run back in the day, mainly because it was such a bad port.
  8. If replacing the thermal paste doesn't work, try reducing the clock speed and voltage by 5-7% and the power limit down around the same, it should get the card running 10c cooler or so.
  9. Ngreedia haven't changed I see.
  10. I had to do the same, Auto set mine to -0.100 which lead to bluescreens, which took me ages to figure out what was causing them, setting the offset to 0.000 instantly fixed them.
  11. Try reducing your IA offset to +0.100 and that should get you down to 1.340. I run my 4790k with +0.000 and my CPU VCORE peaks at 1.248, but I am Running my CPU at 4.4GHz, so to get the 4.5OC you may need that +0.100.
  12. PC3 looks ok, i don't think i'd play it though..Although i have been playing PC2 lately it's not bad the driving is no Rfactor2 or Automblista though.
  13. Anyone else get a fraction of a second stutters on ACC? Played for a few hours today i got a couple of them, kinda annoying and can really screw up the lap i am on. Running on spec below with a 5700XT GPU, a mix of ultra and high settings locked at 80fps.
  14. This is why i never buy PC games when they first come out, i'll wait 6 months and hopefully it will be fixed and half the price.
  15. I could do with a few more on wheel buttons, but i think i will stick with my G27 for now, and maybe get a belt driven wheel when i am ready to upgrade.
  16. 20.7.2 is stable for me, just make sure you run DDU after uninstalling your old driver, and you should be good.
  17. No, my monitor is 144hz freesync so basically anything above 60 is really smooth, some games i will cap at 60, mainly though i tune the card to run cool and quiet at around 1850-70mhz, rather than the 2050-2100mhz (won silicon lottery it seems) it runs at out of the box. Most of the games i play run above 100fps at 1080p which i am happy with, when i Sim race i on triple screen i cap the frame rate at 60 though. I have the Power color red dragon, and it runs hot and loud without the down clock, although stable.
  18. I generally either cap the frame rate or down clock the GPU these days, to keep the noise and heat down. I really don't need the extra frame rate, as long its over 60 i am good... So if i had the attention span to play games for 14 hours i wouldn't be worried that much about shortening the life of the card.
  19. I have a 5700XT The junction temp is the temp of the transistors within the die.
  20. The Junction Temp is nothing to do with the VRAM. The Junction Temp is the hottest spot on the GPU Die.
  21. Going off the screenshot, the Junction Temp is high, also the voltage looks low, 1.2v is stock, could it just lowered it slightly as the JT is high? Try these wattman settings, works ok for me.
