  1. Sounds like you have the same issue I had on my laptop. By default my BT was as "non-discoverable" and there was no option in the settings anywhere to make it discoverable and at the same time Live USB boot worked fine. So while I could find the devices I wanted to connect to my laptop, they couldn't because they couldn't se my laptop.

I had to install "blueman" where I can enable discoverability and connect devices.

Have you considered just encrypting your DNS inquiry so a "leak" is useless in the first place? Also DNS over HTTPS is a thing now.

https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium Pretty much your only game in town. Its a two horse race, everyone is ditching their proprietary browser engine for Chromium, so if you want a privacy centric one its to completely degoogled Chromium, or get another Firefox reskin with more attachments like Tor Browser.

This and for example you can use NextDNS for free, turn off logs, set up protections and blocking.

I haven't made a purchase yet. I'm still checking the configuration,
The main purpose of buying this computer is to play Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. If you have any better suggestions on the configuration, I would greatly appreciate it.

7800X3D is significantly better gaming CPU.

Get 7900X only if you are working with heavy multi-threaded workloads.

what then does changing tdc and edc do? prevent a certain amount of power delivery while the cpu is under heavy load or at a spike?

TDC = sustained current and EDC = burst current if I remember correctly. Some workloads draw way more current than others which will make your CPU hit power limit much sooner despite CPU using low clocks because it's running at very low voltages due to current maxing out the power. Not really something you need to worry about too much for day to day tasks.

  5. PPT is how much power in W the CPU can use so changing PPT alone is enough.

Or you can leave everything as it is and change the max temp the CPU can reach before throttling.

In either case you'll get lower multi-core performance but should maintain roughly the same single-core performance.

It's a Fractal Ridge! It's going to be sitting against the wall but I believe the side that has the GPU I can face away from the wall.

I've been looking into overclocking and -

After learning this, it seems an overclocked 7900 XTX puts up an admirable fight against the RTX 4090. Currently you can get one for under $900. Wouldn't this make it kind of obscene value?

7900 XTX for $850 is a good value vs RTX 4080 Super but it IS $300 more than the 7900 GRE so it's up to you to decide if you want to spend that much money.

    my unrelated question:
should i upgrade to 11400f and better b560m mobo for 130$ combined or i should save up couple hundreds dollars for a proper upgrade

For $130 that's not bad. Look at what kind of performance to expect from that and decide if that can last you 2-4y for your needs before you need to upgrade again.

    Hi all,

I want to upgrade my Ryzen 3600X to either the 5700X3D or 5800X3D. I've never upgraded my CPU before, I've always just gone to the next generation socket that requires a new MOBO in the past. Other than upgrading the BIOS to support it, Is this process just a simple swapping process?

    - Would I need to reinstall Windows?

    - Uninstall old drivers or something beforehand?

    Thanks in advance people.

1.) Update BIOS before swapping CPUs

2.) Reset CMOS after swapping CPUs then reconfigure your XMP/DOCP profiles

no need to reinstall Windows. MAYBE reinstall chipset drivers but even that shouldnt be necessary.
