  1. Not sure which exact lens you have, but I assume it's the 10-30mm kit lens that came with the camera. I recommend that you first see what you can do with that lens and find the limits of it. Then you know which one to get next. But if you have the 10-30, then that's a pretty good starting point in regards to its focal range, since your camera has a crop factor of 2.7 it seems. Crop factor means, that due to the sensor size, your focal range is 2.7 times larger in comparison to a full-frame sensor. So 10mm on your camera would be equivalent to 27mm on a full-frame camera. But overall I'd say you should focus less on your gear and instead focus on improving your skills first.
  2. Nothing wrong with the Nikon and the kit lens for now. It's more important that you learn how to properly use a camera and learn to take good photos. When I started I used to watch a lot of YT videos, especially Tony & Chelsea Northrup: https://www.youtube.com/@TonyAndChelsea They offer a huge selection of guides for all sorts of cameras and types of photography. For example there's an almost 1 hour long overview of your camera: They also regularly critique photos and just a few weeks ago they did a video on cars: And they also have tips and tricks specifically for car photography, like in this video: Of course they are not always right or perfect, but for me their content was really helpful!

Do they start at 40k used? My new one was 58k€ and you can get new ones for 50k€ now. With current pricing that's nothing. Even the new Gen 7 Mustang starts at 60k€ and the Dark Horse is a little over 70k€ I think. In comparison, a new Mercedes C43 AMG starts at 80k€ and has less hp! The Mustang is honestly one of the best new car deals ever. It's no wonder it's the most-sold sports car. These are all 5.0 Mustang GTs Cabriolets. Literally under 50k€ brand new.
  6. Great video! Best thing is, that there are so many different choices for NAS out there. My first one was a Synology DS212j, which is a cheap, old, little unit that I bought used off of eBay together with two 1TB WD Red hard drives for basically nothing. For basic storage of important data it's a perfect solution and thanks to the excellent software support from Synology it's easy to set up and run for basically ever.

Wouldn't be much of a different experience with any car in that price range tbh. A base model Mercedes C300 costs around the same and doesn't feel or look all that much better. It doesn't even come with cooled seats or a heated steering wheel. So obviously they had to cut costs somewhere and I'm overall quite happy with what Ford delivers compared to German car manufacturers.

LOL I thought there was a big technical reason behind it. I really like it, especially with deep dish wheels. I think a non-staggered setup looks like shit. It's a muscle car, so IMO it should have big fat wide tires on the back.

I have that right now. That's how Ford ships the Mustang. 9x19 in the front and 9.5x19 in the back. You still need to tell me why I shouldn't do that It's fantastic! It feels a little old on the inside now, since the basic design is from 2015, but it's not too bad. I could go on and on about what's great about it. I might as well point out a few things I like in particular about the 6th Gen Mustang: Cooled seats are standard The speakers sound great, not just the V8 It can be relatively nice, quiet, and comfortable with MagneRide suspension No software bugs (to be fair I had one glitch in over one year where it reset my settings for some reason...) Driving assistance systems just work and can easily be turned off AND on It's incredibly easy to drive, which I did not think it would be (It even has a rain/snow mode so you don't crash it, especially good if you're inexperienced) Keyless entry and keyless go And here are a few things I don't like: There's barely any space in the interior for stuff. I don't even know where to put my phone Ford put fake leather vinyl into places where it doesn't matter and forgot it where it matters (parts of the armrest near the window switches are bare plastic and feel really cheap and nasty) No hood/bonnet struts (at least they can be easily upgraded) power mirrors don't fold in automatically when parked (there's a manual button for it) panel gap near the trunk (should be easily fixable, just haven't gotten around to it yet) Here is a picture of a door so you can see what I meant with a cheap plastic armrest. The red part is the cheapest nastiest plastic I have ever felt.

Why? And I assume by staggered you mean the rear wheels being wider than the fronts, right?

I guess that's the price NASA pays for a well-tested platform. I'm sure prices for Dragon will go up sooner or later.
  12. It's not easy finding the right wheels, especially not in Germany. But I think I finally found them. 20" OZ HyperGT.

Yes. There's footage on YT of astronauts returning on a soyuz and in the movie Gravity the actor returns on a Chinese version of it back to earth. Soyuz has flown over 1000 successful missions. It's probably the cheapest and most reliable way of bringing people back to earth.

And now imagine what a Saturn V would've felt like in the 60s. lol Also, can we appreciate Soyuz for a moment here? That shit has been in service since 1965.

And I'm glad they will likely stick to their original naming and call the larger model the Pixel 9 Pro XL.

  23. Has anyone tried Starfield with FSR3? It seems to make the game run worse. Here are my first results:

    FSR 3 w/o FG: ~80 FPS

    Native 4K: ~90FPS

    CAS: 93FPS

    XeSS (Ultra Quality Preset): 100FPS

    XeSS (Quality Preset): 110FPS

FSR 3 w/ FG: 120 FPS (micro stutters and artifacts)

So right now I think I'll just stick to either CAS or XeSS.

Considering the level of effort that has been put into Starfield to this point, I wouldn't be surprised if they're using the original version of FSR 3 rather than an updated one. It seems like the kind of mistake they could make.

The first version was pretty terrible from all of the accounts that I saw online when it was released. Later versions have apparently improved it massively, especially when it comes to micro stutters, although I currently don't own a game that supports it to do any testing myself.

Or it could be an engine issue. I've heard a lot of stuff about things like UI flicker or other glitches when getting a high framerate - which is easier said than done in Starfield from the sound of it.

Maybe when FSR 3.1 releases they'll update it all again? It seems strange to me that the dev team originally were adamant that FSR alone was sufficient, only for them to seemingly neglect the FSR option as soon as DLSS was an option.

    oops. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/16-mile-…

Turns out this ship was made by Hyundai Heavy Industries and this hasn't been the first time it crashed into something. On 11 July 2016, Dali collided with the berth at the container terminal in the Port of Antwerp, Belgium, causing significant damage to the vessel's stern and transom.[14] The berth was also damaged and closed for cargo handling operations. There were no injuries or water pollution reported.[15] At the time of the incident the ship was owned by Oceanbulk Maritime (a Greek company) and chartered by Maersk.[15] I guess Hyundai has some explaining to do in case this was a mechanical or electrical failure.

You say that, but in Germany, we're making sure such events wouldn't cause the bridge to collapse, by adding additional landmass around the pillars.
