I powered it on now. It seems that it didn't even tried to install the BIOS, it just powered down the laptop

How long does it take for the laptop to update the BIOS? It's currently in black screen for almost an hour.

Well, the 15" version has an option of i7 6700HQ (4/8 cores/threads) and a gtx 960m, so no worries on that. The display bezeless design looks great

I don't see a real problem, looking at the gaming side. Nvidia and AMD managed to upgrade the 28nm quite well. I think 14/16nm really has a great potential to be used for many years. -
