That was the 3.4.0 Update... However That did and still does have a bunch of issues that were not fixed relating to bulk downloads and MAJOR issues with the update and install scripts, mainly due to them being the first version that I wrote yesterday... So There is actually another update coming quite soon... Will also overhaul the download info to look alot nicer. So you can look forward to that sometime soon...

Its probably 50/50 At this point tbh. The update file worked fine but there is a bunch of stuff that's kinda icky about it... I'm going to be working on putting out a better version of it soon hopefully.

Nevermind I broke something with the new update to the update.zip.... So its not removing the files for some reason -_-... Ill work on fixing it now

The new update.bat and install.bat files are gonna be way nicer to use though!

It always works. But since a few days its stop renaming it. i don't use ffmpeg. Now i have removed al the videofiles en download it again. Now its works well. i think the problem was that i move one video file to floatplane exclusive. Thanks anyways.

Just a little update, if you get into a loop where the script cannot login or its constantly getting invalid cookies then this should fix it: v3.0.3_HotFix.zip
 
I just got into such a loop as the script wasn't clearing the generated cookies every time it got a invalid session causing issues. Though this seems to be a rare issue so most people shouldn't experience it.

Oh! Ok what you need to do is modify the batch file to have the absolute file path for the script. 
 
So change it from:
node scrape.js
to
node I:\nodeScrape\scrape.js
 
Where I:\ etc is your drive and path to the folder that contains the script.

h265 is insanely more efficient than h264, I have worked with files over 40-90GB being compressed down to as little at 7GB.... So would the LMG guys ever consider having a h265 download for floatplane?
 
Not for say every quality, but perhaps a 10Bit h265 version at the same bitrate as the h264 max quality 4k or 1080p etc. So its the same size but way better quality or have it be the same quality but smaller bitrate to save on some server bandwidth for people who download anyway and can playback h265...
 
This ofc wouldn't be for web playback as pretty much no browsers currently support it as far as I know but for downloads I think it could be great especially if floatplane starts offering 4k playback or even HDR playback as h265 really shines in the higher resolutions...
 
Curious to see what others think aswell, Do you even know about h265 or have you used it before?

Just a note that session stuff is still a bit buggy after the 3.0.1 update... Ill be working on a fix today hopefully, for now if you run into issues delete your cookies in the settings and have it regain them using your login.

Ok. The fix is out for it now on the github if you want to update your settings.js with the proper cookies.
 
Or you can wait till the new release which will probably happen in the next few days

I love how much the LMG staff listen to the community, especially those who are a part of the paid FP community. I'm sure that all of the energy is  being devoted to actually launching a proper FP website right now, but based off of how much Linus himself preaches about Plex I would be super excited to see this feature implemented. Truly worth my very limited college budget to pay for FP.

Had a call with Plex today about this. They seem pretty down
 
Just letting y'all know we haven't forgotten!

I'll keep an eye on the cookie thing, thanks - I never actually had an issue with the cookies previously so I wonder if I will at all now (I noticed you didn't need as much of the cookie this time).
At the moment I have a scheduled task to run the batch file, it would be cool to have it run a different way but to be honest it's not a huge deal for me personally - the PC is on regardless so a scheduled task isn't exactly a problem
 
So far it's worked flawlessly (I did run into issues with ffmpeg not naming all the files, but that was due to my Stablebit Drivepool having the files locked, moving it all to a different drive fixed the issue, and not your scripts fault!), and improved massively on the v1 script, thanks so much for your hard work @Inrix

Thanks, also please do tell me if you and @tjcater think that the script is having issues with cookies more often now than it did before. (Where you have to open a floatplane form in a browser and then run it for it to work). I changed some cookies stuff and its all been working fine but I feel that maybe in doing so its missing something for longer term login stuff.
 
On another note, I do plan to do a addon in the future that allows you to have it running 24/7 on a computer and watch the discord notifications so it instantly downloads the video, do tell me if your interested. Other than that if you have any cool feature ideas/requests I'm all ears.
 
There are still a few little bugs I want to sort out and other features I want to add but its coming along very nicely.

Version 2.0 is now out! And with a lot of fixes and a new settings.js file...
 
This was a large change to how cookies and other variables are dealt with. All the stuff that you would probably want to change is now contained within a settings.js file, with the exception of the settings for channels which is still contained within the main script. 
This should let you do future updates without needing to change your cookies and other settings. I will say in a update if you need to update your settings.js file but otherwise you can just overwrite the main script and run "npm update" to be immediately updated.

- Ability to set video folder in settings
- Ability to set max videos in settings
- Ability to set what channels to download in settings

Setting up Plex

So I felt like being creative and also wanted the daily Floatplane videos to be automagically downloaded so I could immediately start watching them while I had breakfast after turning on my computer. So I wrote a neat little node.js script that auto downloads the daily videos  But then I had the cool idea of importing the videos to plex, so after editing the script a bit to name things correctly I now basically have Foatplane on Plex  which is kinda cool... Ill link some screenshots below.
 
Id be happy to link both the scripts, though the auto download does require you to get your own login and session cookies to be able to access floatplane... However Id want some confirmation from @Slick or perhaps a Moderator/Dev before posting them as I dunno what their stance on me sharing this would be. It still requires a login and everything, I just wanna make sure their all happy with it.
 
But anyway tell me what you think! Its super nice having the videos sorted like this and being able to just insta launch them in MPC or VLC is great. Oh and the "Episodes" are out of order right now because I was testing some stuff.

Cant put a fix out right now as catching a plane. But todays LTT video was not prefaced by anything and seems to have been sorted into BitWits library. For now just watch it there or manually rename its title in explorer.
