  1. So couple of questions Was the local Plex app used to play this? if so does the new LG C2 support all audio formats and video formats, since the current LG C1 which I have does not support everything, I can't play certain HDR movies as it makes the video distorted, also does not output Dolby ATOMS to my soundbar. but when using the local netflix and prime tv it works fine does the output and switch etc. For a curiosity test this morning I moved my gaming pc to my tv replayed that same movie from plex and boom Dolby ATMOS output, the HDR sucks from the pc but that requires a few color profiles I presume. Then have you tested any audio passthrough for the arrange of soundbars and receivers, since you have a nice setup at the new house do you have any issue? I have done some research and it seems with most TV's on the market you need to get something like a Nvidia shield pro to do uncompressed audio and get proper video support. my country does not have nvidia shields locally so I have to import one. we do how ever have something like the xiaomi mi box s which works fine but does not support Dolby ATMOS Oh and I know this won't probably affect 99% of you but for some reason LG south africa has decided we are not worthy of using google services on our LG tv's so I can't even use my expensive in my country terms tv with my home automation / entertainment automation
  2. lol, Microsoft needs cash to pay for ninja's salary
  3. So going on this topic to provide feedback I've only used Samsung's since the S4 release, had battery issues on all of my phones, after a few good reviews I decided to upgrade to the S8+. My daily usage has not changed alot in the past year but the first 6 months my phone had good battery life it kept for 2 - 3 days with no issues. and just one day it started tanking hard going down to 1 day and about 12 hours usage into the next day, then it got worse going down to a single day, all my apps are updated phone on latest release etc. I then decided to factory reset the phone and reinstall all my apps etc, this did not fix my issue, i then resorted to changing my data connection from 4G to 3G, this actually helped in gaining back some spunk on my phone and went back to 2 days. This continue for about 2 months and once again my phone can't seem to stay on 2 days it went down to 1 day again, after googling etc could not find any reason for the issue... I then got a notification to do a software upgrade to Android 8.0.0 this fixed a lot of issues with battery performance and general phone response times. now since then my battery life keeps dropping I really can't find a solution for the draining. I've even tried running the phone stock only using whatsapp as an addition application and that did not change anything. I'm really considering going away from Samsung even though I love the phone but I just can't deal with the crappy battery life.
  4. yea I looked at his link like my ass, only saw the 960 and thought it was the sata...
  5. Thanks for all the suggestions @Rasbir Singh For some reason I can't find 960 Evo 2.5" drives in my country we only have 850's, as for the mass storage I do not require it all my media is stored off site and all my important data is synced to a cloud solution. @xriqn as it has been mentioned the case won't fit my motherboard, doubt it will fit my GFX even, the HOF is a big mother fu$#er
  6. Hi all So the time has come I feel a platform upgrade is in order, for now my budget is around 30 000 ZAR [South Africa] ($2500 30/03/2018) , I do plan to come well under that budget. I'm a avid gamer and spend most of my time on my computer, be that for gaming, media, and some work. Games : MMORPG (wow) RPG(Path of exile) Moba (dota 2, lol......, hots) FPS (pubg, cod, battlefields, overwatch, battalion) and also the occasional single player game here and there. Current setup exuding pc : Monitor 1 : Acer XG270HU 27" 144HZ 1440p Montior 2 : Benq 27" 1080P 60Hz Unless one of them break I doubt I will upgrade to 4k quit yet. Peripherals - not needed but listing what I have Corsair K70 (original non RBG version - has been RMA'd once for faulty LED's) logitech g502 proteus spectrum OS - should be able to transfer my copy of win10 pro if not I will buy a new one. Why? age, and I feel a platform upgrade should be good now Planned new build : Intel 8600k Asus Rog Strix Z370-F or Asus Rog Strix -E (main difference AC wifi and type c header for case) {Please give suggestions} Corsaor 500D or Corsair Crystal 570X {Please give suggestions or other cases} G.Skill 3200mhz 16 GB TridentZ RGB Samsung 960 Evo 500Gb NVMe m.2(gaming) Samsung 960 Evo 250 NVMe m.2 (OS) Corsair H150i Pro Corsair HD120 RGB High pressure fans for rad replacement PSU - not sure keep my current AX850 (+- 6 years old) or get a new AX750I {replace psu or not ?} GFX already own a Galax HOF 1080TI Any and all feedback will be well received ! Thanks
  7. yea watched that same video, but thats rather out dated as the engine got a massive overall and I'm already seeing much better fps on pubg. issues is I have this lovely 2k screen with 144hz but 75% of the time I can't even reach 144fps to use the full potential of the screen
  8. Hi so I currently have a Acer XG270HU 27" with a 1070 gtx, I want to know if I should upgrade from the 1070 to a 1080 / 1080 TI, I'm looking at the MSI gaming x edition which heald's rather good average compared to the other manufactures. I mainly use my rig for gaming which ever AAA flavor of the month, but most of my time is spent on pubg, dota 2,cs,BF1 and most probably destiny 2. so want to know is it a good upgrade choice or rather wait for the new GFX range to release before forking out almost a $1000 at the current ZAR (13.60 zar) to dollar (1$) exchange rate.
  9. Yea... totally my bad, had it wrong meant the interface.
  10. there is not such thing as sata 2 and 3 correct but there is a difference is speed of sata cables, you get sata 1 which does 3Gb/s and the new sata cable that does 6Gb/s
  11. the HZ is the refresh rate of the panel, generally it's better for gaming, the "P" is the resolution at which the panel displays, for instance 1920 x 1080 = 1080P which indicates its full HD, where as the other screen is 2560 x 1440 which goes to 1440P so the break down is as 1080p @ 144hz is generally very good for a gamer who does not really care about how the game looks 1440P @ 60Hz will provide a better picture experince but not as smooth as 144hz
  12. depends on the brand of motherboard but most of them either pair it with 2 or 4
  13. if you pre ordered you have to redeem your beta key in battle.net app, if you are waiting for the open beta it will only be available on 07:00 PM GMT+2 29/08/2017
