  1. As many others have said, you might have either a defective phone or cable. I’ve recently gotten my hands a couple of USB type C devices and I’m loving it so far.
  2. This is great for business! Now I will be able to build and sell kickass HTPCs.
  3. Well, looks like the only way to keep your files moderately safe is to have them writen in paper and stored in a vault. I better start writing.
  4. I don’t really like the RGB rainbow effect, but the fact that I can chose one of 16.5 million colours is great, and when I’m tired of looking at a shining PC I can turn them off. I wouldn’t buy a component that has an LED that wasn’t colour matched with my PC but it would be different if that LED was RGB.
  5. That’s one BIG load of bullshit. Why the FUCK would you require more than 2GB of VRAM for any kind of video playback? This is what Lunduke wad saying the other day, just because devs have WAY more resources than they need they just don’t give a rat’s ass about perfecting their software to run on the crappiest hardware possible like in the 80s when all hardware was crap.
  6. And thought that paying $130 usd (with shipping from the US to Australia) for 2x8GB @ 2800MHz was expensive as hell since a 4x4GB kit of DDR3 cost me about $90 usd in 2014. I don’t care who, but someone has to fix this somehow.
  7. It would indeed be nice if there was a playlist for these videos, and having more of them is a sure way for me to stay glued to a display for however long it lasts. However, I don’t think there are many crowdfunded projects that are worth making a video about.
  8. The people that watch Linus's videos are mostly not the type to buy a $200 device that is just a keyboard with little to no bells and whistles.
  9. I bought the game because it had a pretty attractive disscount on Steam in the Black Friday sale, and I had heard that it was a pretty decent hack and slash game. I wasn’t expecting the kind of tear jerker this game turned out to be, specially after listening to the reading of the concert script by the English VAs for the two main characters (mad props to them by the way). Has anyone else been reduced to a pile of tears and mucus like I was (and still am)? What are your feelings about this game?
  10. I use the screwdriver that came in my first car's toolbox (2007 Honda Fit). it has a thick textured grip made out of dense plastic and a magnetic tip.
  11. Try and get all of NieR Automata’s endings (26 in total, one for each letter of the alphabet). Just get ending E as soon as possible because of reasons.
  12. I believe it was a Nokia 3120 I got it when I was 6th grade.
  13. When I had just installed a shiny new GTX 1070 in my PC I began to have a lot of problems with games crashing and blue screens. I ha this problem for weeks, asking here on the forum, and looking for similar problems in google, but I found nothing. Then, when I got fed up with it and decided to RMA the card, I discovered that the eight pin VGA connector wasn't plugged all the way into the card. I felt like the biggest idiot in the history of man kind.
  14. Oh! I remember those! My first PC had one. Oh, and my post about the “retro” core i7 was in jest if it wasn’t clear
  15. I feel pretty good about my current build. There is no single GPU that is faster than my two 1070s, and this setup has been very useful to play on a 4K monitor, the overclocked Ryzen 7 is basically overkill, since it has only sees serious use when I run F@H, and 16 GB of DDR4 are more than enough, and upgrading is just not worth it at those ridiculous prices. The only thing I might want to change would be to swap my two 1070s for a couple of Vega 56s to take advantage of my monitor’s Freesyncness, but again, it is too much hassle.
  16. It is basically all these manufacturers (like Apple) who saw an opportunity to buy TONS of RAM for relatively cheap a few years ago, so now that production is restrained and demand for RAM is at an all time high and manufacturers have tons of it stored to put in their crappy smartphones, gaming consoles and laptops. Basically, the ones that are suffering the worst are those who couldn’t buy all the silicon back then. basically smallercompanies (as in not Apple Lenovo etc.) and the general public. This won’t stop until manufacturing is ramped up which will take time. Some analysts expect the shortage to start to dissipate by the end of 2018 or the beginning of 2019.
  17. So this just happened in the most recent Gamers Nexus video's comment section after they used a funny thumbnail.
  18. Yeah, it’s just that fat32 is mostly useless for anything with more than 8GB of capacity.
  19. You mean Exfat, right? As for op’s question, I think fat16 is best for old school OSes
