Australia's NBN set to cost $15b more than expected.
eQuilibrium replied to Muz's topic in Tech News
I do understand your pain regarding the internet speeds.. my mates house has horrid ADSL2+ that cant even hold a game of DotA 2 due to the ridiculous 200+ ping But nonetheless, it's internet, it works and it's stable, we can't complain, a lot of people don't have what we take for granted every day. I'm not having a dig, just don't like the fact people are complaining about an upgrade, they lay the foundations now, and there's always that option of an upgrade in the future (running the fibre to the household at a later date) but for now copper is fine, well at least it is for me and quite a few of my mates. -

To be quite honest, I don't see the big hoorah about the internet, i'm currently running cable at home ( Copper ) and I have 112mb/it up, only thing that sucks on cable is the upload, which i get like 2mb/it. Yes, our country is run by fuckin gumbies, but so is every other country, especially european countries, I feel for everyone, but we can't complain, Australia is pretty damn good to live in, bearable internet is a trade-off for having a 3rd world economy or civil wars. -
You've overclocked your CPU to 4.4GHz but don't know how to OC a graphics card? notsureifsrs If you're serious, get afterburner, move the dials and run until your computer artefacts, then de-tune it and find your sweet spot.

If in the budget, definitely go for the 390/970 over the 960, you won't regret it.

Hey guys. So I've recently upgraded to skylake and i'm having some very annoying RAM 'issues' Upon assuming I had faulty RAM (Failed memtest) I had my kit warrantied and a new one sent out to me, tested again, same issues, failing memtest. Now, I had this tested at my place of work on our X99 bench, and it passed with flying colours, now I start to worry, naturally. Been testing single stick in each DIMM today on my motherboard and have not had one fail/error in memtest (will be testing 4th slot in around 15 minutes) Although, I tried running dual channel (only 2 sticks, have a quad channel kit) and I was getting errors (both combinations of dual), although running in single thus far (single stick), I've had not a single error/issue. What could be causing this? Could it be a memory controller? something a little more serious perhaps? Really scratching my head, i'm not a trained/qualified technician so I am resorting to your professionalism and friendliness within this forum. Build is in my signature, some parts were used from my previous build. Thanks in advance and would love to hear your suggestions as to what could be wrong, as I'm fresh out of ideas. Whole system will be taken into my workplace on Monday regardless, but if I'm doing something wrong and it fixes it, then that won't be needed. EDIT: Will be back very shortly, so my replies will be delayed

I'm personally in love with the M50X's as they fit my head almost perfectly (just slightly too tight) Although that said, I use the A700X's at work and boy are they damn comfortable, and the sound is just as good. I recommend them, good set of cans, would only assume the A900X's would be even better, so you can't go wrong.

IMO they can keep this whole fast mobile data technology behind. I'd rather see every house in Australia have a minimum of 30MBps and a ping no higher of 50-60ms.. I'm not one of those people, my internet connection is more than enough at home, although I feel sorry for all the people barely coping with ADSL2+ and 5MBps and 200 ping. Makes me disappoint.

Take a serious consideration into a Dell monitor. They are amazing and I always recommend them.

First time SLi, Do these numbers look right?
eQuilibrium replied to eQuilibrium's topic in Graphics Cards
Thanks everyone for your input! Good to know the speeds are about right, as mentioned it's my first time SLi and it's definitely been a new experience as I had to change mobo and CPU as well Hopefully this runs GTA V a bit smoother now.. Such a demanding game @ 1440p Again, Thanks guys, you're the best. -
Hey guys, First time running SLi and i'll tell you, it's been an eventful day as I also had to rebuild my rig. Just thought i'd post a pic here of my Unigine Heaven benchmark results to see if the performance numbers are up to scratch. Please let me know how the results are regardless of good or bad. System is in my Signature.

Best Z170 motherboards brands and reviews.
eQuilibrium replied to danielhowk's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I personally love MSI, good looking boards and from history (building mates pc's) they're damn reliable. Had an Asus board previously and had nothing but issues with the USB 3.0 ports on the board, never ran at true USB 3.0 speeds. Other than that though, been super reliable. -
If you have a colour preference, then the answer is obvious. All card are great, although the Asus run the quietest and coolest from personal experience. Personally, i'm biased because I have MSI
