Just remember, every video LTT does won't be there to mystify you and floor you with new information or something that was never done. Despite the negative criticism, LTT has to focus on those who aren't tech savvy and actually, what? Offer Tech Tips?!?!?. There are people out there who are computer illiterate, and this video alone will focus on explaining things to people who search for something they never would have known.

Yeah, this video wasn't prime content to those who are tech savvy, but this video does offer a tip to someone who wouldn't have known so. But no, you don't seem like a bad person, I understand your criticism.

I just wanted to put my two cents in here, which I'm sure most people will find abrasive (like the negativity in YouTube comments).

There are tons of people who feel intimidated by computers, and all the complexity of it. To some, a laptop or computer is a large buy people saved up for.  Not everyone has a dusting GTX 970 laying around when they got groceries to put on the table. So in a way an aging laptop/computer just might be their most used yet expensive household electronic device they'd rather not tinker with. This video explains that it isn't hard to revive it.

Now most subscribers who watch LTT videos already feel confident or are knowledgeable in technology and spam the comments with "This isn't helpful," or, "Waste of my time..."  and honestly that is disgusting. It's those comments which drive those who AREN'T savvy into believing the computer technology is an impossible dimension. Yet, videos like this are what pull those looking for advice into a realm of what is possible, and not as complicated as one would believe.

So when I see comments like, "I'm unsubscribing..." I hope they just do it, least it'll be making the LTT community stronger by getting rid of the weak.

I was already behind the construction building, the large three or four story unfinished building, and my friends were using me as a spawn point trying to blow the crate in the open area. I was almost out of ammo, and a friend mentioned there was a lot of people in the house adjacent from the construction building by the hills edge that was putting fire on most of the open field. As I was in a good position to attack it, I'd try my luck.

A short story made longer...the building had several people in it and I was clearing them out by unloading a weapon, picking up their weapons, pushing forward, unload a weapon, get a kill, pick up their weapon and repeat. Granted I didn't have much resistance clearing the building cause I'm guessing they were camping the building thinking the numbers kept them safe as they were all pointed shooting out. I cleared to the attic, and now people were trying to over take their house back and I was defending it pretty good using their own weapons on the freshly spawned in people. I was pushed back up to the attic so I tossed down some C4 as they were lobbing grenades up. Jumping from the attic I press the detonate and fall to my death.

In roughly a minute I went from a few kills to +20 in roughly a minute, and my friends and I were laughing so hard, tears were coming out because of all the different types of weapons they seen on the top left of their screens I was killing with them with... then when the building drops and the mass of names flash dying from the collapse, then one lonely little LazlowRave died. Not killed, just died.

I would try to recreate the results using this same method of pickup up my dead enemies weapons, but never again would that first time be so hilarious.

You do realize that the reason Linus has the giveaways, and the only way to enter, is to join the forum. So when he has a giveaway (which I didn't enter, just sheer coincidence I'm here) he's trying to flood his forums with new, fresh people which, on a percentage, only a few actually continually post afterwards.

I'd just guess the statistical average after giveaways of the new users that start a new account that post at least once a week, weeks after signing up is less than 15%. With the new users per giveaway, that roughly 5% post more than once a week, however less than 3% remain to do so two months after joining after that initial sign-up. Which, honestly is good numbers being that over 200,000 people join just to enter the giveaway. Without fresh people to the forums, the community would become weaker and weaker.

As far as I'm aware methods of Ma Yinchu Theory doesn't work when it comes to wanting more population. I say open the flood gates, because only those who stick around, with something worth saying, might be a good thing to a growing population on public forums. But some people just act "better" because they were already in the room as they watch more enter.
