  1. maybe square vs rounded looking fans sqare would be better on rads i would think. and there some fans that dont fit on rads...becuse it has parts fast the 120mm/140mm... guess fans that have rubber on them vs not rubber screws well was a good idea at the time 99% dont use em. most fans dont come with them anymore. noctura do thow. good info on grills good info on fan spacing video about ex stream presher
  2. fan cable is also import end and ones that can daisy chain. sleaving too but i think most have black cables or sleaving these days. i guess and option to add accent colors to it like rubber corners. i guess the argb/rgb the amount of leds it has and how many zones it has too can be noted. all i can think of atm i dont no if you added it or not but fans that can do zero rpm.
  3. its a good windows 7 pc... other then that they are cheap serfing pc. around 50-60w. it can still game but dont realty thing its wroth throwing money at it...
  4. there some mb that support it with out the bios mod. but there much newer mb... my attempt at an over kill windows 98se pc... the q6600 was a vary popular quad core cpu should be cheap now adays? unless its collector now?
  5. using a mix metal setup you need an additive to prevent growth. even if your using all copper loop its a good idea to still have it. if your really cheap you can probly use antifreeze. didn't say it was not going to work or cool...
  6. i no thats that i said but i read somewhere that that problem was fixed for the core controllers. as well being able to mix fans.
  7. i thought they fixed the thing were it has to be filled port one to 6 and not missing. could be just on the xt?
  8. youtube is so bad... but its better then other stuff... i dont get why i have to watch a video in 1/10 my screen. most if not all are all full screen videos made in to that size. cant click to find the orignal video ether. cant scan forward ether... hate it. but ya youtube works when you watch something it recommends more of what you watch. problem with say tictock is if you watch something bad it will keep recomeding bad stuff...
  9. ill just stop responding to rgb topics then. its been a long 9 years... maybe time to give it up.. ill still have to finger out my stuff thow.
  10. aluminum dose not like water... the cost of additive will most likely cost more then a copper rad... pumps mostly dont last more then 6- year from what i heard people atemp this.
  11. there probly is still xeon but there too new and cost too much probly. i n othere like 256 core cpus and stuff. but the socket is so dam big. in order to get more cores you need to shrink the nm witch there at a stand still. quantum computing is a thing thow witch scares people because it can basically brutforce any thing. has to do with the transistor size limiatation. it cant go smaller becuse the attoms can pass thow and effect another transistor. so the on/off no longer works witch is hoe pcs work. people only really got the x56 xeon because it was cheaper and and a bit more cores and was unlocked.
  12. each header need to have its own control witch only some controllers can do that. a hub cant.
  13. you need a usb controller to be able to control argb with software. is posable but you need to find the adapter, find what the connector is, or find the pin out and make your own.
  14. well there volts amps and wats. you can have 12v but if not enough amps then it might not work.
  15. well i no that gpu have decoding on them and they get built around the games of that time. so using a new gpu to say play crysis it wont work as good as and old gpu... but i dont no much abut the new stuff. if games didnt suck nuts i would upgrade but they do... so ill kee playing diablo 2 on a 3090 well my build is for looks. x299 with 3090... ya... my dad thinks it might get bottled necked. w/e as long as its not lagy i dont realy care atm. ya x56 was the best.
  16. hmm well that wall only basically says about using it and a small perset of it being used is what i gather... dont no if 750 psu is enough i heard people say 3090 can spike alot in power. i many even need a bigger psu for my build... optane dose nothing wast of moeny. i dont even no if they make em anymore. techyescity was saying something about new gen stuff and the respons speed and why older stuff feels faster...
  17. some mb have and argb header that can be 5v or 12v by moving a jumper. that is were the newer gen come in. the BARROW hub can do5v argb and 12v fan but i think there are proprietary connectors only used on there argb stuff or some of it.
  18. with a balanced fan setup having the side on can be as good or better then just and open case. but with out a balanced setup taking the side off making it an open case gets better temps. even if the case is open it can still benefit from air across it. for a closed case if the air in cant escape fast enough then fans will try and push air in but cant so most air will just bounce back out. you can over come some of it with fast fans or good static presher fans but some point the fan will be restricted. best is to have slight more air coming it then out. and the way you do it is also importend. front to back or bottem to top. most do front to back with bottem in and top out. back fan is needed for gpu exhaust bottem fans if your case can have em help with gpu temps front fans for cpu cooler and gpu to push the gpu exhaust towards the back and give it fresh air. top fans can be good or bad depending on the setup. if one back fan for exhaust is not enough then the back top fan can also be exhaust. if you have a tower cooler and front intake you most likey want the front top fan intake or no fan at all. as it can mess with the front fan air flow (front to back) using an aio front mount would be best for cpu temps but worse for gpu temps as it will dump its hot air at it but its like 1-3c diffrance top mount aio slighting hotter temps as it takes some of the gpu exhaust and suckes it up but will alow for gpu to get fresh air from the front. agane about 1-3c diffrance vertical mout gpu can be good or bad depending on the setup. most people do it for looks and give up some temps to do so. the best case would be a case that has 2 diffrant chambers one for gpu and one for the mb. there kinda some out there but i dont think there the best design yet imo. an open case makes it so there no presher and can disapate all the heat in to the room faster. kinda like boiling water more water takes longer to heat up. then there things that reduce the profromace of the fan like grills, dust filters, solid pannals. ducting air to the part would be the best way but no one dose it.
  19. there one case i no of that has it, but other then that its diy.
  20. kinda like the old thing better sorry maybe because everyone and there mon has that case...
  21. i belave the hot spots works like cpus. and it temps sensors in different spots. no one really no were all we no it says some where is hot. and it can change were that temp is from. but im just guessing but if gpu temp is 80 that sounds to be right i guess.
  22. i dont no who your talking to but if its me you have to use the quote button on the bottom left corner. corsair stuff only works with corsair stuff because like you said how many leds each fan has. there are animations the need to no how many leds you have to work. and thows only work with corsair stuff. threre are random animations that should work like rainbow or a solid color. for non corsair stuff some times you tell it how many leds you have and it self adjust. but there may be some animations that it wound alow you do use. basically you adding all you fan leds and pumps and all the leds up in to one long strip. were as corsair stuff there's a setting you pick what fans you have and if you say have 3 fans with 20 leds once the animation gets to the 60 led it returns back to led 1. if you have say 100 leds and its still set for the 60 leds once it gets to the 60 led it gos back to led one. razer has a stander connector controller but you have to make an account. aquacomputer dose too on there later gen controller coolermaster dose but i hate em and dont recommend it. water cooled gpu blocks normally are shorter but im guessing your not water cooling it? if you did you probly need more then one rad imo. what is the plan for the argb? what is all you want to do with it? do you want each thing to have it own color or you want them all the same. or you dont no yet? it be easier to convert the corsair stuff to stander argb connector with a cable. so you can light up the pump. ied probly build the build first and then do argb after and see what your mb can do first imo every mb dose thing diffrantly is the problem... there also free software you might be able to syinc thing up but i have not used it yet...
