  2. that would depend on what connector is used. ill have to have a pic of the hub and fan connector. my guess is it uses a generic connector.
  3. a nice guide with good info. may not have all the info but its a good start. one thing he missed was that you can get an fan controller like aquacomputer aquaero controller to control your 3 pin fans or 4 pin there probably some Lamptron 5.25 fan controllers that can do this too. the advantage is the rpm stays the same instead of ramping up then backing off. another thing to convert your 3 pin fans to pwm is a pwm convertor Phobya 4Pin PWM to 3Pin Converts 4-Pin PWM signal to 3-Pin Voltage Controlled.
  4. ya makes me think i should have just gone with an external argb controller (witch i did buy one) but dint come with the power cable and never looked in to it haha. says it has 133 modes and i found one that has 1000! but cost $250..... ya the plan was to only use corasir fans and maybe an strip..... then i wanted rgb 24 pin....then i wanted rgb flow meter... then i wanted to rgb stip my pump tops and gpu block....and then i wanted an rgb cpu block....is there an end in site? i was thinking of a disabution block but then i was like na.....but i might try and get a z170 mark 1 mb and i realy want a rgb gill for the north bridge 40mm fan.....dont no if the guy can make one. if not ill have to go 40mm to 92 or 120mm fan adapter.
  5. kinda stilling this posting ahah sory. i do no that aquacomputer has a adapter that can attach corsair fans and nzxz fans so nzxt must use the data in and out as well. and nzxt uses the daisy chaing. so if you were gonna trying probably corsair would be a good start. i be leave thermaltake may use this too but hard to find info on the pinout on that fans....
  6. ya im on year 3 with mine and spend just about all my saving on it.... i dont even no how much i spent but its probably $15000 to $20000 if i have to guess.....i should stop! ya im stuck with windows 7 and will be forced to use 10 to paly games so thats why i build my 2 pcs in short. but im really considering linix.
  7. ya you have a build log? my in my sig. ya there was a guy on here posted some cable management thermal take and his tower 900 and he labeled everything. still the cables what just a glob haha. there are people out there that can rout all the cables and hubs and cut all the wires to be exact but im not one of thows people haha its an art in it self. i did do cable sleeving to a psu once and didn't like it. and i dint no you had to melt the ends of it that how have made it much more do able at the time.... would be nice to have a stander but there are few times were there are standers in this world...
  8. ya i got what your saying... im in the same boat. but i do got a place to hide all the controllers and most of the cables and i came up with ways to hide some of the cables by sending then under the case and up the front behind the front panel. i also came up with and idea of sending wires behind a pace of plastic that covers all the grommets. other then that getting creative and making hubs and your own daisy chain, adding 2 fans per connector, and so on haha
  9. from the way i understand it is the hub has a data in and out so its like having 2 strips attached to each other. that is why you need to fill the hub form 1 to 6. if you got 4 fans it has to be 1-4 as the data in gos to the 1 fan and out of 1 fan in to the data in of fan 2 and out of fan 2 and so on. the commander pro and node only haves a data out. if you linked say all the data in together and all the data out together then all of the leds will be a copy of each other instead of run form fan 1 then to fan 2 and so on.
  10. are you using the rgb strips with that kit? did you take out the plastic that's in the battery on the remote? also it has a ir resever so that black led has to be visable to the remote to work. that kit is old and outdated...
  11. don't think there be a 25 foot cable but all it is is 2 wires that uses a 2 pin dupont connector and the other end a monetary switch but could do any thing to make the 2 wires connect. that being said you can use well anything. telephone wires, Ethernet wires. depends on how much you want to spend really.
  12. well i no of cheap but you get what you pay for... https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07VXH3FNS/?coliid=I1GWERDZMOO9CT&colid=1FAOHYDQQPCKN&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07PWBNMP1/?coliid=I1SQ434MM6ZXSQ&colid=1FAOHYDQQPCKN&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it ya can find cheaper on aliexpress
  13. there is an adapter that lets you hook argb devices to a rgb controller but it wont act like argb.
  14. i don't get all the y's in there. you should have the res feed in to the pump and the res higher then the pump. option 2 is what i would start out with later on you can play around.
  15. quietpc is a good site to look at rpm vs air flow and price
  16. something like this a good start. looks like you have to add a power and reset to it.
  17. i posted a diagram on how to wire non corair argb strip like you asked. i also posted a pic of were to cut the argb strips and to show you what 30, 60, 144 led per meter look like. if you cant under stand it then your not ready to do diy argb strips. if your not in to soldering then there is a cable that is made for argb strips. corsair 3pin or 4pin to jst-sm connector
  18. you might be able to find some guy that can do it cheap but i would think that it will require skills to solder and need equipment to see what your doing. guys on here were talking about having troubles soldering 2020 smd so if its even smaller than that might be even harder. but im not expert so w/e the smd should be cheap it self.
  19. what dose a electronic guy charge per hour?
  20. ya for me i started with a 1366 and a i7920 and 6 gig of ram. 2x 150 gb wd velociraptor drives. i got get what gpu i had i no it was fanless if the rings any bells. and me and my dad got in to water cooling so i got his hammy downs gpus with water block's. then i upgraded to a i5 6600k,noctua nh-d15, z170 mb and 16gb ram and got a gigabite g1 winforce 1080 and got a 480 gb ssd for $135 at the time. i later on upgraded the mb to an mark 1 z270 mb only for looks thow. all pics and info is posted in my build log. i normally build a budget pc say $900 ish but this time i when mad with power haha..... only thing laughing is my wallet. that ssd thow once you get one you never go back....
  21. ya we all buy things that we might not need or upgrade even thow have no reason too. over the years me an my dad building computers we had hhd,mb,gpus, psu's, ram, all go bad. my dad right now has an asus 780 gpu with bad ram. he had to down clock it to even play some games with it. gpu cooling it alot better then what it use to be so gpus might not die as much but back then your lucky to get 4 years out of it.
