    A New Build after 8 years of i7 2600k

I think it looks great honestly, after upgrading the GPU later this year when something better is available you will be at the 1,000 mark possibly a little over it. One question, why the 2 144hz monitors? I'm assuming you only game on 1 and the other is for music, chat, etc...

Is Amazon Prime worth getting for their shows?

Amazon video can be acquired separately, there is people that want it exclusively.

How much is Netflix vs Prime Video for you ?

Should I buy an Amp/DAC for my HD 6XX

Any headphone can benefit from a good amp/dac, I recommend the Atom over the Magni, https://www.jdslabs.com/products/190/atom-amp/ Watch this video, his reviews are great. Cheers
  5. Did you install any software with the monitor? I read that some monitors that come with their own software override the refresh rate on startup to save its life. Whatever that means. edit: also, do you have the latest Nvidia drivers installed ?

    2060 or 2070?

Go with the 2070, look at these benchmarks for 1440p gaming: https://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/8766/nvidia-geforce-rtx-2070-review-perfect-card-1440p/index15.html

    Looking for a new motherboard

It doesn't matter which Mobo you pick, I just checked amazon and this was the first result. https://www.amazon.ca/B360-Gaming-Intel-Coffee-Motherboard/dp/B07CBKQ75V?crid=QF3D2X4YPTLA&keywords=i5+6600k+motherboard&qid=1547617995&sprefix=i5+6600k+mot%2Caps%2C362&sr=8-1&ref=sr_1_1

    System for relative

It is a good system but you could get a better answer if you shared more information, like what games will be played, what the budget is, monitor being used...

    Peripheral cost more than PC?

My peripherals also cost a good amount of money and that's not even taken into account all of my headphones, I find it better to game comfortably for hours with ok frames than get 300+ frames with cheap peripherals.
  11. There is not a filter for that but you can include the word tilt in your search, but easier than that would be to get a few solid selections and then read the descriptions for the ones that do rotate. Good luck.

Most people what prefer 1080P or 1440P for gaming?

If you look up the statistics are like 20% of screens are 1080p and 9% are 1440, it is really difficult to get accurate data because it takes into account all displays made. I have a 1440p 144Hz G-sync monitor as my main, I've also had 1080p 144hz monitors before, if you are going to be watching movies, playing AAA titles or editing I would say go for 1440p if your setup can handle it. Other than that you don't need 2k, just go for a 1080p monitor that matches your usage, if you are into competitive gaming just go for 144, 160 or 240hz.
  13. Seems like OP already got his answer, people please when you are quoting OP can you erase the pictures, or use spoilers, too much scrolling for 5 word answers.

    Laptop Suggestions

Found these options in your area available from craigslist: https://lexington.craigslist.org/sys/d/lexington-lenovo-yogain-1-laptop/6787211122.html https://lexington.craigslist.org/sys/d/lexington-microsoft-surface-pro-4/6787281818.html https://lexington.craigslist.org/sys/d/lexington-lenovo-thinkpad-laptop/6791481452.html https://lexington.craigslist.org/sys/d/corbin-dell-5548-touchscreen-laptop/6789669679.html Hope you find the one that you like, as always, be careful when buying electronics, ask for the laptop to be fully charged so you can turn it on yourself in front of the seller and run a few applications. Good luck. edit: If you go to your university's IT department and ask if they have any deals available for laptops they can probably hook you up in some way, especially if its one of those big well funded Unis, they often times cycle thru tech in short terms so they list them for ridiculously low prices.
