Galgotha got a reaction from ignorethisone in 1080 or 1440?
I am using Acer K272HUL bmiidp 27-inch WQHD (2560 x 1440) Widescreen Display it is an ISP screen has 6ms GtG which I have no issue playing Star Citizen, War Thunder, World of Tank, WoW, or Civ 5 and Civ Beyond Earth on. The screen color is great but I still adjusted using a Sypder for best color.
It is currently 329.99 at amazon and comes with a Warranty not sure if the Korean ones do.

Galgotha got a reaction from kameshss in Triple Monitor
I have had no issue with dual daisy chaining the DP 1.2 if your monitors support its with a DP out i/o. I only started getting random driver catalyst crashed with 3 daisy chained.

Galgotha reacted to LAwLz in Google Announces a Gaming Console/HTPC
Specs:
1.8GHz Quad core Intel Atom with PowerVR 6 series GPU. (Most likely the Atom Z2460 which means the GPU is a G5430, the same as the iPhone 5S).
1GB of RAM
8GB of local storage.
Ports:
HDMI out
MicroUSB 2.0
Wireless connectivity:
Wireless AC
Bluetooth 4.1
NO ETHERNET PORT (Why the hell not Google?)
Size and weight:
12cm in diameter and 2cm tall.
Weighs 235 grams.
Key Features:
Comes with a remote which allows for voice commands (button for it can be seen in the image above).
Looks like it will have the Android TV interface.
Supports Google Cast, so any ChromeCast app will be able to beam to it.
Syncs your content across all your devices.
Pre-orders start on October 17th.
No words on pricing yet.
Looks like it's made by Asus (or at least the controller is).
It does NOT come with the controller you see in the picture.
My opinion:
This looks like Google's attempt at making an OUYA. I actually really like the concept of the OUYA although the Tegra 3 it shipped with was not powerful enough for my needs.
If this costs ~99 dollars or less then I can see it being a big hit. Price is a huge factor though, and it will most certainly decide the fate of this.
For me, it needs to be able to play emulators and by Chinese cartoons (more demanding than you might think). If it does that and it is cheap then I'll really like it.
Edit: Other people in the thread have bought up two interesting ideas.
1) Steam in-home streaming. If someone manages to get it running on this then that would be fantastic (assuming the price is low which I think it will be).
2) Running Windows on it. I doubt this will happen but you never know.
For those of you who are interested in what the UI looks like here is a (pretty old) video about Android TV which also shows off the controller. Android TV is the OS this little box is running. Thanks @Opcode for the link.
Edit:
According to the website Recode, AndroidPolice, TechCrunch and many others the Nexus Player will cost 99 dollars and the controller will cost 39 dollars.

Galgotha got a reaction from Mannimedia in Please Critique My Watercooling Loop
I would recommend as dual D5's going with 4 GPU's parallel and 3 rads in single loop of that size or do two loops each on a single D5. I run one 480/45mm and 240/60MM and series dual gpu loop on single D5 and while pressure is fine at 5 setting at 2 or 3 where I want the noise level its to that point where if I added more to my loop another D5 would be something I would look into as well.

Galgotha got a reaction from rambi36 in Primo RWB
Finished up the LED - Brightest Setting Panel is off with panel on you don't see the actual leds as the panel covers them except the bottom four that run over the radiator.
Going away for Labor Day with Wife and Kids so will start leak test Monday Afternoon most likely

Radiators
480MM x 45MM NexXxos XT
280MM x 60MM NexXxos UT
GPU Block/Backplate and EK Single IO Brackets Black Chrome installed on R9 280X's - AMD didn't change the reference board design of the 280X from the 7970 it was pretty much a rebrand except for few board capacitor changes.
The only Crossfire Link I could find that was not green, I wanted hard PCB but no one makes any.
MB in place SATA cables ran and tied down bottom RAD in place
Sata Cables for reference
SSD and HDD installed lines ran and secured in place
GPU's Installed first line ran, PSU Wiring tested
Upper 480 installed and CPU Block test fitted
Upper fans installed
Test Fit of Cooling Lines Path ( I am not sure if I am sold on this) I may go for a cleaner look and do GPU to CPU to Rad and have 90 degree pipe the return line down the back of the case so it is very clean loop, but I don't want to loose to much in cooling doing that.
