One thing to consider is the business side of things, understanding computers is one thing but being able to understand business and consumers is another, and what a LOT of people fail at I've noticed. If you aren't as interested in business, one idea is to consider a business partnership with somebody who does enjoy and understand business. Of course, you'd also have to convince him or her that you're competent and certain the idea will work. I favor the business side of things and my aim is for a degree in Business Administration, so finding a partner who's as equally or more credible than I in the field of computers is an idea I might consider, for example.

Putting a computer together isn't any kind of real job skill. There's a reason we always tell people it's the easiest thing in the world to do after watching 20 minutes of youtube videos.

Get a job at local computer repair or retail shop ~ work for at least 3 years, learn the ropes while saving money and only then take the jump of starting your own business.

I think going to your local hardware store is a good start, it's something I am looking into doing during University. As long as you show people you maturity, confidence, proffesionalism, the skills will come.    

You need to get more experience to be honest, hobby skills are good but some sort of further education would be better, you'd also want to maybe get other people with you and you need to get well known - speak to local hardware stores and see if you can advertise your service there, maybe offer the shop to offer a computer building service for people who don't want to build their computers?

Why aren't you attacking the people who sold lies in this thread like Windows 7 not getting updates past 2015 or it somehow being broken past that, when it is set to get security updates until 2020. I saw COUNTLESS posts in this thread recommending people upgrade to Win 8 to fix an issue which never should have been an issue to begin with and the fault lies with MS not Windows 7. Those people also attacked them and harassed their choice of OS for no reason and continued to try to sell a newer MS OS, which is typical of MS. 
 
This thread was derailed the second people started telling people to upgrade their OS to Win 8 and that occurred long before I showed up.  NONE of their posts helped the people having issues whatsoever.

Also, more than 1 5.25" bay. Most people don't use optical drives, and even one is enough for anyone.
