  1. Sounds cool! Also I found this on the MB website: "*2 Mini-SATA and full-length mini-PCIe share the same slot. When mini-SATA card is inserted, full-length mini-PCIe will not be usable, and vice versa." I don't really know what this means, but it seems like you might want to check it out.
  2. Whoop. Sorry. I'm totally wrong. I looked online and it seems that they do support it... at a pretty serious performance deficit. Idk if the 970 will run triple-a title in 4k at x4 speeds though. @QinX will have to try. I am also worried that the slot will be physical x4 and the gfx card physically won't fit without modding the board (cutting the back of the slot).
  3. Nvidia doesn't support x4, at least with the newer cards. I know some of the 200 and 400 series cards worked in x4 though.
  4. Hate to break it to you man... But that MB won't support a GTX 970. It's PCIe slot only runs at x4 speeds and Nvidia graphics cards need at least x8. It's fine for an amd card (280x possibly) but it wont work for the 970.
  5. control your friends cursor in the middle of class
  6. Dad: Lenovo U430 Touch i7 (not bad), he has a ASUS monitor and Cherry Brown KB + Steelseries mouse for a "desktop" style system. (I have a pretty cool dad) Mom: Mac Book Air i5 (UGH) Me: Powerbook G4 Macbook Pro i7 16gb ram (Boot Camp Win 10 developer preview ) My desktop (see sig.) Grandfather: Some random HP desktop that I modded (7850k, 8gb ram, r7 250x, 6 noctua fans!)

  8. Noctua NH-U12S. That's the best small one. It's 100% compatible with everything. Silent too.
  9. Thanks a lot! If I can find some time, I'll work on the blurry edges on the legs.
  10. Here is a Orange+White+Black one I made. Hopefully the orange color is right. If it isn't I can change it.
  11. I like the idea. Here is a grey and red one. I tried to get rid of the watermark as well. Also, I attempted to make the eyes red but my terrible photoshop skills hindered me...
  12. If you take the design of the red one and make it grey and black. That would be sick... Here's just a sample I whipped up in Photoshop:
  13. You could probably OC if you get a thicker rad, like this one. XT45 (in push pull) Or would there be clearance issues?
  14. My dad called me in the middle of school lunch break once when he needed to know how to copy and paste something. Yep... Also when the internet was out my mom asked for my help, I unplugged our router and switch and it came back on. I am now known as the Wi-Fi fairy in our house.
  15. I got a WD Green 3TB drive for a friend's build and it wouldn't show up in the bios, until I dropped it on the tile floor from 5 feet up. Has been working fine for 2 years.
  16. Boot from cpu graphics Download drivers Go to bios Set it to force CPU graphics Save settings Install your card (do not plug into monitor) Go into windows and make sure that the card is recognized by the driver software (Amd Catalyst i think) Go back to BIOS Set it to force video output to <pcie slot that the card is in> (Ex. If the card was in the first slot on the board below the CPU area, then it is slot 1) Save settings Go back to windows Good luck!
  17. Tablet. Because you can only use the portable as a gaming-thing and you can use the tablet as a real, functioning Android tablet. If you get a good stand like the JASmini from Cooler Master, you can wirelessly pair an Nvidia controller to the tablet. This makes a ghetto Nvidia Shield with a bigger screen. (Not handheld though). Linus' video had a great comparison in it too.
  18. One of these are the best: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LJCI53M http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FYS71KK Also, review on bottom one:
  19. Can I PLEASE have the card! P.S. What does triple slot cooler mean when it's a dual slot card? P.S. #2 I think the Omega looks better than the Extreme P.S. #3 I think the Extreme should have RGB controllable lights.
