Can manufacturers make Android phones be ask theft-proof as iPhones are? As in - if someone steals it they cannot really do anything other than sell for parts.

Considering I can change the IMEI of any Qualcomm SOC under the sun with a USB cable, no.
Android is inherently unsecure and it has to change but I doubt that it can.
Perhaps Google or Microsoft or some alliance of several manufacturers could build their own non-qualcomm mobile CPU.
Too much to hope for, certainly. But I'd really like to know I can trust my phone's security

2 years ago I thought I'll put money aside for a GPU. Around $500.
But here I am, 2022. Still using a 1070. And find myself unable to muster the will to install a game. There's almost nothing I want to play.
Shit. Being 35 and a family changes you. Not about "priorities". Just the outlook and things that used to give you much more pleasure.
Doesn't look like I'll spend that money for a GPU any time soon. Even if I could - feels like I'll have to take a minute and think about it. Before this Microchip crisis I'd have much less need to think about it.
