  1. Update: UPS guy picked up the old psu on friday 13th and today a "mistery" package arrived. Brand new AX1200i Corsair RMA delivers again. Top notch customer service. It's good to know that a company has your back when shit hits the fan. Thanks Corsair and everyone who posted on the thread.
  2. Update: Corsair approved the RMA. I'm going to send back the faulty unit in the next few days. Edit: As this is the second RMA Corsair is going to provide me with a prepaid shipping label. That's pretty good, shipping the original ax1200 from Brazil to California cost me US$ 145 ... 2nd Edit: After some searching it seems that shit really happens, even with high end units. Ax1200i Died While browsing http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=131528 Died while browsing http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=130613 http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2374164/ax1200i-replacement-blew-components-damaged.html The funny thing is that i replaced the AX1200 because it had a terrible coil whine(pig squealing loud) but it worked fine-ish, turns out i traded a squealing psu for a flaming psu...

  4. Following Logan's advice Amazing rig! Also, i think you guys can relate to this: You known when you are browsing newegg/ncix/tiger and you think, i'm going to make a shopping cart with the most overkill dream rig...you add everything just to see how much it would cost, well someone actually did that a bought it.
  5. wow, fast replies. Yeah i'm going to stress the system a little but so far so good and no signs of any damage. As for the flashbang, yeah it felt like Counter strike, a loud bang, white flash and smoke. The worst part is that i kind of lose the trust i had in the reliability of my system. For now it feels like using a car that can break down at any moment for no announced reason. For almost an year (since replacing the ax1200 with the ax1200i)the system was a rock, not a single crash, stable at any game. Well that's life. Thanks for the replies guys!
  6. Hi guys.A few months back i received an AX1200i as replacement from the corsair RMA and it was working fine with my system, until today. I was browsing the web, simple stuff when i heard a loud pop and my screen went dark. Then i smelled something burning. You can imagine how scared i was.Turns out the Ax 1200i stopped working... with a bang. Fortunately i had a spare PSU laying around and was able to diagnose my PC, the system works fine(sighs of relief) nothing died except the PSU. The back grill of the power supply smells like burnt plastic. When i connect the psu to an outlet and press the self test button it makes an ominous buzzing sound. Already opened a ticket at corsair support, now im waiting. Should i be concerned with my system? Could something in my rig be responsible? No breakers were tripped nor any fuse blown, the incident was isolated. The outlet is grounded and im using a surge protector. Thanks. 9. http://www.guru3d.com/news_story/the_witcher_3_gtx_780ti_could_push_35_45_fps_at_max.html The website mentions that the PC version runs HQ and 8xMSAA at 35-45fps on a GTX 780Ti at 1080p. this game is going to murder rigs.
  10. Let me give you guys an example: Evga 780ti Dual Classified: 759.99 US$ Price in Brazil: 1429 US$ so yeah pc hardware is expensive here.
  11. Got the game for free with my new video card...wish they had wolfenstein for the promotion instead of watch dogs
  12. I cant belive that my x58 rig can play this game, I7930@3.6ghz,12gb of ram and a 780ti Classified(i know the system is unbalanced but im waiting for x99 to upgrade) The stuttering is bad while driving a car but indoors im getting solid 80 FPS with all settings on ultra/FXAA. Outdoors FPS drop to 55~42, lowest i've seen is 38. Also dropped the textures to high and the stuttering remains. Running 337.88 drivers

  16. All i have to say is grab your torches and pitchforks guys The level of stupidity of this is just beyond comprehension... " oh shit we have been caught redhanded, better cover up our shit with more care next time"
  17. At one place im paying 45US$(DSL so i also have to pay for the phone line) for 5 megabits down 500 kilobits up and at my other house im paying 33.50 US$ for 30 megabits down 5 megabits up. Internet prices in Brazil are retarded and we also have unrealistic datacaps, shitty netflix experience, trafiic shaping...the list goes on and on
  18. It was winter, 2°C and fast wind outside. So i opened two windows at my place allowing a cold air flow through my bedroom, popped the side panel off and that's how i played crysis. True story.
