Since these drives are still the entry level, does anyone know of benchmarks showing just how these stack up against one another because every drive review seems to only deal with the 500GB models, and supposedly the lowest capacity usually suffers due to having fewer memory packages on board. So the question is since the intel 545s now trades blows with the evo, does it suffer less at this low capacity vs the older tech.

Does partitioning matter? Drives don't see the file system so I doubt it, I just tend to keep 100GB empty to really give it extra space to work. compact lzx is your friend! As for over provisioning, they are probably cheaping out on that area on budget drives now.
