  1. Everything, I am at school on computer using DDR2. I don't exactly know what it is using either. (I have no assignments to do ATM, that is why I am posting) My own PC's oldest part would be the HDD. It's some Segate OEM drive.
  2. I play with a group. But we don't really play wasteland officially, maybe some of us might every now and then but it is quite rare. Maybe you are interested maybe you aren't. Here is the front page anyhow. http://www.gol-clan.co.uk/
  3. I am not absolutely sure what you mean. Yes you can crossfire a 280 with a 280 and a 270 with a 270. Also you will get a crossfire cable or cables with the cards them selves, you rarely need to buy them separately. If you cannot find the information on the site you are using you could just ask the customer support to tell you. Some cards even come with 3 way or 4 way bridges, while most (90% of the time) come with a single 2 way bridge. That should be enough for you, if I understood that correctly.
  4. I am pretty sure you can skip that assignment and just say you couldn't do it because he failed miserably.
  5. 1. I am certain that the crossfire cables come with the GPU's, even the cheapest ones. Besides, I don't think you can even crossfire those GPU's 2. Why not buy a better single card, for the price you are paying you could get so much better than a 270 and a 280. A 290X even. (If I am anywhere in the ball park on what they actually cost)
  6. *Was* I have a desk now for my KB and mouse. I still use the same chair but my posture is different. stress marks on my back have disappeared. All I want is a back for my office chair as I need to use a pillow between my back and the chairs back ATM. Also there is no cushion for my tushion.
  7. Dirst 3 (SP)if you like racing. DCS world (SP) (MP) If you want to try a flight sim Others Insurgency (MP) Deus Ex human revolution (SP) Witcher 2 (SP) Total War shogun 2 (SP) (MP) You are already playing most FPS's I can think of so I can only think of these.
  8. I used to have nothing to place my KB on, I had it on my lap, my mouse was on a stack of books that I placed on a chair to my right. That and I was seated on a wooden chair with a really bad back. Because of that I started getting strange stress marks on my back, and I also broke my old KB in half by not having anything support it when I got a little angry. (the KB still worked, just the "frame" was broken) At the time my parents though it was a good idea to buy me an office chair... without a back. I ended up never really using it...
  9. Or you could just bring a hatchet and "hack" the computer with one good swing.
  10. You could try what I did to my self. Open the start menu > right click on any quick-launch icon > open with (select default program) > navigate to explorer.exe > watch as the system ramps up to 100% and starts thinking about what the fuck you just did. I did this once on my current PC as I was trying to make a single program display the correct icon in the task-bar (I am a smart one). It works with any program to a degree, use anything else than exlorer and you will just ruin every shortcut on the desktop and start menu as the will just open in what ever program you selected instead of launching the targeted program.. This seemed to work for me, if you are fast enough this could work. And you don't actually delete anything. You are just opening all the shortcuts on the entire computer using eplorer. EDIT: I have no how it actually allowed me to do it, but I did. EDIT2: It would seem that you need to type in the name of a program into the start menu, I typed in adobe, and what do you know I could set adobe readers shortcut to "open with".
  11. The idea seems nice but the things that could go wrong. You could basically edit someones goggles to lure them into oncoming traffic, and leave absolutely no trace. Considering how it has the ability to replace something you see it also has the ability to hide things. EDIT: And even when it is not tampered with it will "disconnect" the user from reality, not sure if turning people into zombies is such a good thing. Would be better if it just added a GUI to what you see, without the ability to hide anything in you FOV. The feeling of being iron-man, just without the suit.
  12. I have a separate origin games folder on my D drive, after I re-installed windows I was able to select that folder to be the current game library. The I just attempted to download every game I had on the dive and origin auto detected the existing game folders. I didn't need to download anything. I think it could work.
  13. I would like to receive a link for further investigation.
  14. Had you called it a buffer separately I would not have questioned it. But now you have got me thinking of an OC that would raise the TDP of an Intel CPU by 110W... I honestly need to know if such a thing is possible.
  15. Excuse me but what kind of OC are you suggesting on the CPU? 6 top 8GHz? @3.5 V? I am rather sure that nobody will be doing an OC that can raise the TDP of a CPU by 110W! At least on non liquid nitrogen cooling. EDIT: Has anyone ever gotten a TDP of 3 digits on a 3770K? or 4770K?
  16. See if it works when you run it on a completely different chip, meaning that you try one of the SATA 2 or just what ever SATA port that is using a different controller. If it still doesn't work (with a different power connector as well) then your drive may need to get replaced.
  17. Oh we do use iPads, on the high-school side. Except that they are actually Surface's with WIN 8 (not 8.1). There are also some old dells in use in case the touchscreens run out. And the current second years (I am on my third year) were GIVEN new laptops on the first year. I remember sitting in class last year behind one of those "lucky" students... He was playing some strategy game, nobody cared, and the teacher didn't notice. The best part is that some of the students were struggling with their laptop for quite some time, not knowing how to how to use word and the like. And then on the vocational school side we are running VM's on Pentiums with 6 GB of DDR2... (Loving dat desktop mouse lag)
  18. I want this, but I live in Finland, so there is no hope. I already have a 128Gb ultra plus anyway.
  19. Could you elaborate on Aw, snap error?
  20. You would be doing yourself a favor by doing your homework during those times. Otherwise I would also not recommend any games that use auto-save, you will most likely be late for class because of it at some point. (I'll just kill this last guy...) Skyrim is the only thing that comes to mind. EDIT: A little old but still good would be Deus Ex HR.
  21. That title. Its like oculus rift was a natural phenomena.
  22. This would be great, but I don't see it happening unless it is a fan made comic. Then it will probably be 10 pages long.
  23. Go to BIOS > boot options > boot priority > set the install device as priority 1. I don't know what Mobo you have, so it could be a little different.
  24. If you get the OEM code from the sticker on the PC you can do a format and re-install, then just activate using that code, if you can't then don't do it yet, you will lose your key if you don't do it properly. NOTE: don't use the code that you can read from windows itself, you cannot enter it. You will have to do the phone verification to activate the key. Also you can get a ISO file from Microsoft to do the re-install. You will need an empty DVD or a normal USB to create the installer onto. (5Gb or more should do, but I am not sure). You can find several guides for this online, I suggest using those instead of relying on my memory of the process. Just google Windows 7 trial and you should find the file you need. Ill try searching for the link now and edit it in. EDIT: http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/how-get-free-legal-copy-windows-7-installation-disk.htm Here is a guide, you can also find the link to the files there, just make sure you download the correct version. Second guide for redundancy. http://www.pcworld.com/article/248995/how-to-install-windows-7-without-the-disc.html EDIT2: Also, good luck with your first re-install if you decide to do it. It may seem daunting at first but a simple assist that can go miles is to create a list (on a piece of paper) with all the program you need and want. Have it ordered to make the process faster, you can also pre-download some installers so you wont be limited that way. (Personally I have a folder on my HDD that contains almost every installer I ever downloaded.)
