  2. Dell: Finally, a worthy opponent! Our battle will be legendary!
  3. Guess I will go back home, managed to find two 2x 5220 servers and get them plugged in but if RNMA is going to run out of jobs to send there isn't much point me sticking around trying to find something else in the junk pile and give it CPR.
  4. Yeah, but I did a BIOS update, which should fix any corrupted BIOS right? Unless the hardware is damaged, in which case I have the replace the motherboard. But, that's what I'm currently thinking. (unfortunately) It's most likely the motherboard, that's why I'm trying to get it exchanged. But I'm still trying to find a solution while waiting for a response. And yeah the CPU is an option too, but it's much less likely and if it is broken, I don't think I can exchange it, I would simply have ti buy a new one.
  5. And it has that spasmatic old style font you still can't change? on their phones on it. Good job on making more products worth Nothing, all expectations up to brand name, think again before you shill €150 to this crappy brand.
  6. so recently (been few weeks now, wished i could have asked this question before), my 480gb crucial bx500 ssd has this really weird issue like when there's some heavy write operation (like copying files) it would throw error saying file is corrupt or unreadable then after i check in device manager i refresh t would show up at a drive with model no. sm2259ac about which found nothing conclusive online except there couple of threads on HP site with similarities that it shows 1gb unallocated space in disk management and seem like it is an SSD for that laptop model which was listed in thread. Could my computer be hacked? it's a very strange issue because i tried swapping sata cables and ports but still struggling to solve this issue. Before this problem started my boot drive which is also bx500 but 120gb, it would crash in few days or a week randomly with inaccessible boot device or another similar error in disguise and would stop detecting in bios unless i do a boot cycle but ever since this current issue that thing solved and now even this issue usually requires to do a boot cycle. I am using a sata to molex adapter for one of the ssd i think i swapped it when i was facing trouble with boot drive now as it is on other one i can't think of what could wrong, would be very strange if a molex to sata power to cause this.
  7. Yes you are right. Seems something is broken. I alerted them on discord. But they never seem to respond on discord so who knows.
  8. The thread in Sponsor Discussion is getting more traction:
  9. forgot to mention the 5800x is still pretty decent id rather just slot in a used 3080(ti) or 6800xt/6900xt/6950xt + psu upgrade if required (probably will be for the 3080 but i think the others will be fine) then save up for a 7800x3d bundle, 5800x will do just fine in the meantime yes you can boost it abit my running the rams at 1:1 fclk or somewhere around 3800-4000 for most chips, just check thaiphoon burner for ram ic and find a 3800 oc profile for it online and plug and play (minor adjustments may be neccesary), might even see some benifit from tuning the tertiaries but those are kind of a pain to tweak even if you tweak multiple at once like i do wouldnt bother going new as its a sidegrade at best and you spend 150$ extra for the same performance of a used gpu, also means you can save up for a better platform faster heres some benchmarks with the new gpus youd get at 500$ (4070 7800xt) vs used gpus youd get at ~350$ (3080 6800xt) psu wise if an upgrade is neccesary id reccomend a 1200w d.f.x at 111$ cause its 1200w with a 10 year warranty whilst being dirt cheap for that wattage, id usually reccomend an 850w gf1 thats usually 95$ but i think an extra 350w of psu wattage for only 16$ extra is worth it as id expect 12-17+ years out of any higher quality psu
  10. would you be willing to look at the amazon links and make sure i am not missing anything?
  11. Argh you monster, cut them the other way lol
  12. Wait, and it's cheaper? Oh, DDR4 over DDR5. It's fine.
  13. Go for option 2. Better CPU, better GPU
  14. Budget: 1650 USD I have two options that I am trying to decide between and would like some expert advice if the price difference is worth it. Option one: ASUS TUF Dash 15.6" 144Hz Gaming Laptop, Intel Core i7-12650H, 64GB DDR5, 2TB PCIe SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 8GB, Backlit Keyboard, Win 11 Pro Cost: 1649 USD Option two: ASUS TUF F15 15.6" 144Hz FHD Gaming Laptop Computer, 12th Gen Intel 14-Core i7-12700H, GeForce RTX 4070 8GB, 64GB DDR4 RAM, 2TB PCIe SSD, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, RGB Keyboard, Windows 11 Pro Cost: 1529 For reference this is going to be used for high end CAD software and a touch of gaming. I also only buy a laptop about every 6-8 years so future proof is very important.
  15. That's what was happening, but not right now Down to ~700 ready to send
  16. That kinda looks like the XC level saddles I got on my Lapierre, I don't think it'd take short-term usage to wear them out enough that it would be easier on the sit-go. Reminds me of the Selle Italia or Selle SMP saddles with air opening lines from the top to the bottom. Like the M1 with gel I just bought the other day. I'm all a fan of jel saddles, my old full suspension Trek Fuel EX6 also had one of those Selle Italia gels I believe. Have spent more of my biking on that one, it's fine. But this current M1 I purchased seems to be another level of a gel saddle: https://www.ridewill.com/p/en/selle-smp-css1519-well-m1-saddle-279x163mm-white/1562077/ Seems rather lightweight for a saddle that is big too, weights in around 300 grams, almost the same as the Selle Italia XC found on my Lapierre's stock, which is a lot snappy-looking of a saddle. Twice the cost of it, though... sort of makes a bit of sense there that there might be a bit more to the saddle on it. Somewhere wise...
  17. TBH given my experiences trying to tinker with google APIs, it'll be a fantastic learning opportunity, but it's unlikely to actually help.
  18. I had the same issues with that game. Enable “Intel Baseline Defaults profile” in your bios. This has been wildly reported in the news it’s to do with I9 13th gen and 14th gen CPUs overclocked from factory due to motherboard manufacturers trying to make their boards look better in reviews.. Should fix the game and all your stability issues. It did for me.
  19. Entirely different scenarios. Your examples are consumer guidance, not software advice.
  20. Maybe i am the Asus-bot who can say. Not me i cant answer those sorts of questions.
  21. Have you seen the replies that the ASUS-bot here gives to any reported problem? You're completely spot on.
  22. congratulations you got the job at Asus, you passed the test.
  23. It started with 2 games 1 CPU, splitting up a powerful gaming PC then went into a more server hardware focus Yes i know he says that but i also give you exhibits 1, 2 and 3 unless the point is "you should not do this" then how would that be different to 2 Gamers 1 SteamDeck. Just saying
  24. Blah blah blah we regret this happened, it does not fit the expected behavior of our customer server staff. They should've kept pressing for more money for illusionary damage blah blah blah we are looking into what happened to make sure this doesn't happen again. No more capitulating on our side blah blah blah we are for gamers money and hope you can keep your trust in us trying to rip you off through warranty claim blah blah blah.
  25. no The thing that they were demonstrating was how to split up the bonkers number of cores you get on a server CPU to do something they fully acknowledged was dumb from the outset. One of the core requirements for any LTT video is a Learning Opportunity and the only thing that the viewer could learn here would be that it's a *terrible* idea with zero value.
