    Minor GPU bottleneck by CPU...

Lol, maybe with locked frames. Isn’t balanced at all.

    Odd behaviour on new usb.

For the first 0.5 to 1 sec the write speed will be 25 mb/s, then proceeds to make this pattern, speeding up until 25 mb/s, then dropping to 0. I thought it might be some sort of caching, but I can't see any setting to turn that off. It's a 32gb Kingston DataTraveler100. It's USB 3.0 capable, but I'm using it in a USB 2.0 port, could that be it?

Vega finally beats RTX? Vulkan strikes again!

I think it's more due to age and the fact that Lisa is announcing Zen 2+Navi next month. So, companies are trying to lower their cards to compete with what they probably know and we don't. That and it usually helps with sales when you lower the price over time. The only card that we have any knowledge on is the Radeon VII which probably performs closer to the 2080 than it did last month as the first couple of drivers were a mess and holding it back. Can't confirm since nobody has updated since last months testing. But, Lisa said that is part of the high anything else like it being a place holder and so on is pure speculation. Nobody from AMD confirmed that.

  6. When a device starts aging it can start feeling slower. I used a iPod classic compared to an iPod nano, and I could see the visible difference in speed, since the Nano was based around flash memory instead of a venerable 3200rpm drive. Software updates can also makes systems even slower, since there's more code the system may have to run, or access from a drive.

9th gen cpu in a 6th gen motherboard

the question is only "does it work", as long as it can post somehow it should count. What surely doesn't work even on the same socket will be something like P4 era socket 775 boards not working with late Core 2 quads due to FSB differences

    4690K overclocking help

Yes you would be able to reduce fan speeds. However, what software is being used? You should just be able to put the fans in the motherboard and have that control instead.

baraguda pro 6TB hdd or western black 6TB?

On paper the Barracuda (yes, spelling counts) is faster.

    Overclocking a 1060 with 500W PSU

You'll be fine in terms of wattage. What model PSU is it? I have an overclocked Ryzen 5 1600 and GTX 780 on a 550W power supply.
  16. Good Question … i think i'll reuse the BD reader from my current PC and as compensation have an external BD writer to be able to use that on that one and the notebook and the new one … yea … i'll write a mail … hm … ok they look quite similar … https://pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/MVPKHx,2k3H99/ https://www.digitec.ch/en/Comparison/9871240-9854220 where do you find this info? or did I compare the wrong ones?

Impossible to say without knowing what PSU you have.

baraguda pro 6TB hdd or western black 6TB?

I'm a fan of the Barracuda Pro HDD's, they have 5 year warranty and 2 year free of charge data recovery in the event drive dies and data is lost.
  19. It's not overheating or anything so it's fine for now just a little concerning. It's my younger sisters car, I just need to make sure it gets done soon I wouldn't mind doing it myself but dealing with the old coolant makes it almost worth it to just pay a mechanic. Maybe if it has a drain plug I could let out a little just to see the color.

    4690K overclocking help

yeah I guess, well i´m happy with it, only thing is that the cpu rad fans are always on full since the software im using doesn't really recognise it properly. Would I be fine turning them down a bit while im gaming, the temp is only like 45 degrees while im playing

Vega finally beats RTX? Vulkan strikes again!

Rereading it, yeah, my post wasn't necessary. But I get a knee-jerk reaction when I see people posting prices because of the rampant cherry picking I see here.
  22. Princess Cadence

9th gen cpu in a 6th gen motherboard

9th gen CPU is not compatible with a 6th gen Motherboard, 'out of the box'. Nonetheless, if you alter the 6th gen Motherboard from it's original specifications through modifications it is possible to get things to 'function', just have in mind this involves a great deal of work/hassle, might still not work and even if it does you'll have limitations in place and likely less reliability/longevity from the system.
  23. Taf the Ghost

Nvidia GTX 1650 available RIGHT NOW; $149

It's the best card that can go into a Dell Optiplex prebuilt without extra PCIe power cables. That's kind of the only thing going on with this product. There's only going to be a few games it runs better than a RX 570.

    Overclocking a 1060 with 500W PSU

You should be fine, my 4.4 Ghz 3930k 1.325v and OC'd 680 dont take more then 400w
  25. Helo I am interesting to buy one from these 2baraguda pro 6TB hddwestern black 6TB?which to buy from these 2? which has less failures, better performance, and better material quality? and better speed? writes and reads?
  26. jstudrawa

9th gen cpu in a 6th gen motherboard

Doesn't count, as it is a significant change to the architecture, making it a hybrid at best and a totally new board at worst.
