  3. I'm waiting to choose a motherboard until I buy most the other components since I made that mistake on my first rig. Lol thanks for the tip though.

Xotic PC ? Has anyone heard any good about them

Xotic is highly overpriced. They charge around $1,000 for a 2200g and 1660 non-ti.

  6. Went to the track yesterday, had some fun, set a new PB of 1:39.23, but parts of the track were repaved so it doesn't really count... the powers that be said the changes should result in about a 2 second reduction in laptime, and well... I went those 2 seconds faster... even though I went from RS4's to R888R's... in my defense it was raining earlier that day so the track was green, the 2 switchbacks (T3a-3b) were literally repaved the day before. So thats my official excuse for track layout only improvement and no tire improvement. None of that stopped my asshØle friend with his asshØle BRZ from running and asshØle 1:35.5 on asshØle year old and like 4-5 track day old asshØle RE71R's mounted asshØle backwards. I never should have sold him my race seat... or talked his wife into buying him a BBK for his birthday... but I'm not bitter... I'm happy for him... in other news, my pad knockback is finally fixed. finally. for the first time since I've owned the car. the car that I bought a BBK for right away so I don't have any brake issues. that I had brake issues since day 1. 3 years (or is it 4?) I finally have good brakes. I replaced the master, booster, and the vacuum line that goes to the booster and has a check valve in it. I suspect it was the check valve but not sure... anyway.. here are my vids... the section around the 52-1:00 mark in the first vid is where asshØle pulls the most amount of time on me. He's generally just a hair faster most places, but this section he does faster than pretty much anyone. Even a very experienced driver in a GT3RS that laps in the 1:20's.. @bcredeur97 @vinyldash303 @chaozbandit @terrytek @vetali
  7. I just got hit with the same thing. All RGB's on the Gigabyte RX590 worked fine. I installed Auros and RGBfusion. The fan stop light stayed on and fans would not run...did some research and everything pointed to Auros. I uninstalled Auros and RGBfusion and now have no RGB lighting on the GPU. Same exact thing on boot up the RGB will illuminate for about 1/2 second but shuts off after full boot.....not a big deal but seriously lame.

I'd grab either this PSU (If you don't mind non-modular) or this PSU for a performance boost at about the same cost. That motherboard will not provide proper VRM support for a 9900K. Whether or not you want to overclock, build for it since the 9900K runs heavy and hot at stock. Solid CPU cooler upgrade for only a few bucks more. If you are not editing and rendering 4K video files, 32GB RAM is a waste on money. Very few games even cap 11GB in use on ultra settings. I suggest 2X8GB for now, and you could always grab 2 more if you need it later. Solid SSD upgrade to NVMe and size boost, same amount of HDD space for less. GPU upgrade for only a bit more. Case choice is up to you, but the Enthoo Pro M is a huge overspend. I'd do either a Cooler Master H500 or the Meshify C Upgraded your monitor setup. A 27" 1440p 144hz 1ms Freesync gaming monitor, and a 24" 1080p 75hz 1ms web browsing monitor. Buying 144hz response on a second monitor is stupid spending. You'll never need it for what you'd do on a second monitor. I won't argue peripherals, since they are largely a personalized thing. The Z313 speakers share the same base stats as the Z323's though for a savings. Don't overspend on a 2.1 configured sound system. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I would frankly question whether or not the 9900K is the best route for a gaming pc with a 2k budget that includes monitors. Its gaming performance is negligible compared to the 8700K or 9700K. The difference between an RTX 2060 (or even a Vega 64) and an RTX 2080 would be much greater. I would personally do something more like this: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor $359.99 @ Newegg CPU Cooler ARCTIC - Freezer 34 eSports DUO CPU Cooler $39.99 @ Amazon Motherboard Gigabyte - Z390 UD ATX LGA1151 Motherboard $119.99 @ Amazon Memory GeIL - EVO SPEAR 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory $70.98 @ Newegg Storage Intel - 660p Series 512 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive $62.89 @ OutletPC Storage Seagate - Constellation ES 3 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $54.99 @ Amazon Video Card Gigabyte - GeForce RTX 2080 8 GB GAMING OC Video Card $699.99 @ Amazon Case Fractal Design - Meshify C ATX Mid Tower Case $89.99 @ Walmart Power Supply BitFenix - Formula Gold 650 W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply $76.98 @ SuperBiiz Monitor Dell - S2719DGF 27.0" 2560x1440 155 Hz Monitor $319.99 @ Amazon Headphones Corsair - VOID PRO RGB (Black) 7.1 Channel Headset $70.99 @ Amazon Speakers Logitech - Z313 25 W 2.1 Channel Speakers $37.79 @ SuperBiiz Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $2004.56 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-05-25 22:22 EDT-0400 Build notes: I dropped the second monitor, since really this monitor will up the gaming experience pretty heavily, and 27" will dominate most desks' monitor space. 8700K is very well priced right now to your budget. The 9700K might still be a better buy, but at a $40 difference, they are pretty comparable. Arctic freezer and UD are solid. Unless you're itching for RGB, I wouldn't do the 212 for only a $3 savings.. Don't overthink RAM. Dual channel, 3000-3200mhz and 15-16cl is solid. 32GB will show no difference to 16GB in current gaming. This RTX 2080 is a monster. It's got a great 3 fan cooler, and a really nice clock speed. Were I in the market, I would grab this right up. Do note this build is in a sleek all black look
  10. GPU is dying. Unfortunately, you don't have an iGPU on that AMD chip, so you'll need to swap in another graphics card.
  11. fluxdeity

    Airflow insufficiency

During gaming you don't really use 100% CPU like you do GPU, hence the temps you're seeing. If you ran Prime95 Small FFTs you'd see max CPU temp for the most part. 2 intakes and 1 outtake is ideal, to create positive pressure, as long as the intakes aren't being choked too heavily. You could try something with higher static pressure for intake fans and might see cooler temps. Especially since the whole front of your case is pretty much blocked off and allows little to no airflow.

Xotic PC ? Has anyone heard any good about them

Xotic PC ? Has anyone heard any good about them

never heard of them but from a quick google search they seem to be a small custom gaming pc builder. Which pc exactly is it that you like from them?

    Remote Backup Xeon Server

Supermicro boards all have IPMI and they do make ATX boards. Check ebay for whatever's available and then get a xeon that fits the socket. For your use case specs aren't all that important so it pretty much comes down to what you feel like spending. That said, both Dell and HP make tower form servers intended for small businesses that have iDRAC and iLO compatibility. Getting a complete unit might be better from a reliability standpoint that DIYing it.

    youtube download

YouTube-DL is all you need, although according to YouTube, downloading videos from their platform is a violation of their Terms of Service. (Even though streaming a video technically downloads a copy to your computer, so you tell me how that logic works.) https://github.com/ytdl-org/youtube-dl
  18. DELL said BIOS was up-to date but I might do a complete reboot of OS like it was when I got it. If I can't figure out the Alienware Graphics Amplifier with the RTX 2060 im going to return it and get the RTX 2070. That way if the AGA still doesn't show the card my warranty will cover and I 'll know maybe its laptop or the AGA itself the problem. So what about the Razer Core X? I NEED to know what Linus did!
  19. I just switched from a Thermaltake 500W Bronze PSU to a Corsair CX500.

However, the mobo connecter accidentally unplugged itself so I spent about 10 minutes freaking out about how I thought the PSU I found was dead.

Anyways, it works now. Here are the reasons why I switched:

    - Looks better
    - Semi-modular

    - Has an 8-pin connector for my future 1660 Ti

    Last Gen sound effect qualities

Is it just me, or does last gen consoles have grittier and distinguish sound qualities than newer consoles?
  22. B450 Mortar is a pretty decent board, go for it.
  23. Make sure its compatible with your other parts but other than that its fine.
  24. Not particularly pleased with the back of the STRIX 2080 Ti. For their flagship card, they could have done a bit better. The cables are too long and use a really stiff heat shrink, so you can't tuck them away like the STRIX 1080 Ti.
