    HELP i burned my psu

It will look ugly as shit, but you could get some PAPER, wrap each end of the wire in paper and then use the regular clear tape to keep the paper and everything in place. Paper is electrical insulator. But just go to the store and buy a small roll of electrical tape, or some heatshrink tube (you can then cut bits of heatshrink and use heat to shrink the tube over the exposed metal bits)

+1 on upgrading PSU and buying a RX 570. It is a remarkably snappy card for the price and will destroy a gt 1030 and a gtx 1050ti.
  6. So I have just switched from chrome to Firefox on my phone because I wanted extensions and when chrome didn't have them on android I finally got the motivation to switch. Pretty quickly found a problem with the forum though, the emotes and mainly the @ mentions seem to break the editor. How do they break the editor? Well if I mention someone @Bananasplit_00 aand then want to delete it, I can't. It will also spit random line breaks at me and double characters sometimes. TX button doesn't seem to fix it.trying to delete more than the latest word can also bring some funky stuff after a mention and the same happens if I press enter after one of these uusually

  10. After getting my current phone, after about a week I noticed that the battery had gone down enough for me to have noticed it. I'm guessing that this is just because of my use of the phone rather than some bigger problem, This should be the answer as Email works in the background and can take up a lot but I'm not sure if there may be something wrong.

Gaming on VM with one GPU, is it possible?

Not even close. The wine project has existed for a while now and it still doesn't support Windows programs entirely. Windows is a complicated operating system that isn't easy to emulate by any means. In fact, there's an entire web site dedicated to cataloging Windows programs and how well they run on wine(It can be found here). Solutions like Proton and Lutris aim to provide better support for Windows programs via Wine but it's not a genuine copy of Windows so it won't run the same way.

Vega finally beats RTX? Vulkan strikes again!

Well...... In the end that is down to how much traction Vulcan gets with consoles and titles. Its a Very good API, especially with GCN hardware. Something both Sony and M$ leverages

    HELP i burned my psu

Yes, and?! That don't make it good or anything. Why do people always think that because they don't think the PSU might have caused issues that they have a good one?! Its a SAS HDD. How díd you connect it?! Did you remove the thing bin the middle?!

    will this work?

Get rid of the Intel Optane memory. Drop the 128 GB Adata SU800 and buy something bigger, like 256 / 480 / 512 GB , ideally in m.2 nvme mode , not m.2 SATA The price difference would be nothing compared to the price of the rest of the build, like 20-30$ more for the SSD when you have 2 RTX 2080 cards in there. The power supply PROBABLY comes with the power cable in the box, not sure you need extra cable. The 32GB of optane (as cache for the mecanical drives) will be pointless, it won't cache much in those 32 GB of memory - with the money you spend on optane you can basically add 250-500 GB to your main SSD and just install the most often used games and apps in that space.

Geezus Christ, What is this monster for? everything looks fine. you might want the 9900k if you are running dual cards. And maybe see if the z390 has onboard gigabit.

Is my GPU dead or is this a psu issue?

That sounds like the GPU. If you have any friends/family with PCs or an extra one, ask them if you can put your GPU into their PC, and if it still doesn't work then you know for sure it's the GPU.

Not only that, there is a good chance you'll get purple tint in black/dark scenes like in movies, pictures and other content using VGA.

Not sure at what temp it throttles but you had better have some decent cooling solutions.

Will Mac pro Xeons work in other machines?

No IHS but they come with what looks like a spacer to keep the heatsink from wobbling around on the die. I just need something to test a Dell mainboard, worst case is I put them in my spare Z800

    will this work?

Hi What is the pc being used for ? Also why RTX 2080 SLI ? What monitor are you going to be using ?
  25. Wow question I'm qualified to answer since I have this computer and have done a ton of research on the CPUs for it . The board is socket 775 but there is publicly available modded bios to run lga 771 if you use an adapter or buy one with an adapter pre-installed from ebay or aliexpress that will make that board support a Xeon X3 line processor. Now there are good Xeon X5 lines as well but from what I found you would need an optiplex 760 to run those on the modded bios. Im not positive an X5 line like a Xeon X5450 couldn't work but I didn't want to risk it since it was a long shipping time from china. As for what processor you should buy I would say your best options listed are here listed from highest to lowest price: Intel Core2Quad Q9650 - Quad core 3.00ghz Intel Core2Quad Q9400-Q9500 - Quad core 2.66-2.83ghz Intel Xeon X3363 - Quad core 2.83ghz Intel Core2Quad Q8200-Q8300 - Quad core 2.33-2.5ghz Intel Core2Quad Q6600 - Quad core 2.40ghz Intel Core2Duo E8600 - Dual core 3.33ghz These can all be found for the ranges of 5$-45$ and are your best choices without spending too much or going too low on performance. For reference you can see a full list of these performance on 775/771 processors here: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/socketType.html#id5 https://www.cpubenchmark.net/socketType.html#id9 On mine I have a modded Xeon X3363 which is 2.83ghz quad core with 12mb L2 Cache. I got it on aliexpress for 10$ using a new user coupon for 4$ off. Prices seem up right now about 5-9$ higher than I ranges I was looking at last year but they do fluctuate so I would expect they come down a bit depending on when you shop. Here is my full system for reference (needs a gpu upgrade :O): 20$ Dell Optiplex 780 10$ Xeon x3363 processor 771>775 Mod (4c/4t 2.83ghz) 45$ 16gb Hynix DDR3 1333mhz 25$ Intel 240gb SSD 20$ GT 730 2gd5 win 7 64 bit professional Total cost : 110$ Also though it may risk make everything else I've said invalid but I think you can do better than the option you listed. Optiplex 760-780 are routinely available for very cheap on craiglist as many offices are getting rid of them and unless don't have an OS and don't plan on upgrading any other components this is not a great deal overall when base optiplexs are around for 20-40$. Also for 169$ you can probably find a slightly less old office machine running an i5 that would be far more capable. Techyescity also have done a lot of videos about the slightly newer (2010) 6 core xeons that can be had for very cheap on old machines: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=VMbUXKsMKKA
