  1. Past hour
  2. The card itself said IT Mode on the listing itself. I might try to flash some p20 firmware that I found online, and try with that one..?
  3. Another note, everytime I run task manager, my temps go to around 40-45 degrees. It’s a little odd IMG_4040.heic
  4. Hello Good time I want to buy a powerful graphics card that supports 4K games and is even great for artificial intelligence. What is your suggestion? I want to spend up to $6,000. Thank you for your time thank you
  5. I wouldn't be surprised if some of those are duplicates because some stores put up the same model of card with slightly different names on for example Amazon, and that counts as a "different card" in those systems counting the SKUs. In other cases though, it's just the OEM bumping the clock speed up like 100Mhz (maybe better binning?) and then introducing that as a new SKU. I wouldn't be surprised if the old SKU just gets discontinued as time goes on but never gets deleted from those systems like PCPartPicker. According to PCPartPicker, Asus has 12 different versions of the RTX 4090. Some have different coolers. Some are the same cooler but with ~100Mhz different clock speed. Some are the same card but in different colors (like one white and one black). Some are special/limited editions. I guess the number of unique SKUs quickly gets out of hand once you start doing OC versions of cards as well as different colors.
  6. They could probably just reuse the IO die of Ryzen 3000/5000 and just change the cores themselves, and IIRC there were rumors when Ryzen 7000 was released that they were plans to do that that were inevitably scrapped.
  7. Yeah im not sold on it being hardware yet. Anyway prime95 is running, i installed windows again just for testing, if its hardware a failure should still occur. Ill report back after a few hours
  8. This is what happens when people start focusing on form over function. Its doubly stupid given OC models are largely redundant on 4000 series.
  9. steam has many exploits. i always love reading whats newly discovered.
  10. They'd have to re-engineer the silicon. If for nothing but the fact that AM5 is DDR5 only.
  11. Yes it'll work. Any PCIe card is compatible with any PCIe x16 slot.
  12. Yes. They probably could if they wanted to, IIRC there's no technical reason they can't release Zen 4 on AM4 and make something like a 7750X3D, but the question is will they. The odds of that happening are basically zero. If you want to buy a new setup today, unless you're very strapped for cash and going with a low end offering like a 5500 or 5600, spend the extra money on AM5. Board pricing has come down quite a bit (its not quite at price parity, but the lower end boards are only about $20 more on AM5 than AM4), the CPUs are just faster while being slightly cheaper (the 7600(X) is on par or faster with the 5800X3D in most workloads, including a lot of games), and RAM is an extra $20 for a 2x16GB kit. Getting something like a 5700X3D only really makes sense as an in socket upgrade because of that. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CJtz3y https://pcpartpicker.com/list/H9xr89 You only save $10 going 5700X3D compared to a 7600 in the US, and for that you lose an upgrade path in total. If you already own an AM4 board or can get one for dirt cheap on eBay, then the math works out a bit differently, but as it is AM4 doesn't make much sense to invest in nowadays
  13. I am looking for a way to deploy an NGINX instance standalone and/or inside a Docker-Container. But I am having troubles compiling it with a Web-Application-Firewall (WAF, modsecurity if you have other better options please let me know) and the plugin more headers. I also want to make use of HTTP/3 (quick support). The newest version of NGINX seems to have HTTP/3 support backed in (1.25.5). But I am not sure about that. I used to compile NGINX with the Cloudflare version of HTTP/3 and brotli compression. But I would like to use a WAF and the "More-Headers-Plugin" if possible as well. Maybe someone knows a step by step guide since I couldn't find one working for me yet. Also for now I would like to use PHP_fpm_8.3.6 if that's possible for testing purposes. It should run on a Debian 12.2 system. Thanks in advance Jens Humke
  14. thanks! (im terrible at this) budget: max 750 country: finland usecases: light to mid tier gaming with a couple of background applications running i was planning on just going with the pcpartpicker list you provided but im in finland so cant get some of the parts that cheap
  15. You need to make sure that card has been flashed to the IT mode firmware. If it hasn't reflash it otherwise it won't pass the drives to the host transparently, you'd have to set up RAID arrays in the card's BIOS.
  16. Hello Good time I want a cpu cooler that supports str5 socket and is very powerful and awesome, I don't care about the cost, I just want it to be the best. Thank you for your guidance thank you
  17. If only there were people that could control what kids have access to. Like in a parenting role. You could call them parents. But before those people are invented, I guess we need the government to decide what children have access to.... Maybe we should outlaw cars. Because in the hands of kids those are dangerous. Ironically in most US states young kids (younger than they would have a phone) are allowed to access guns. But we draw the line at watching stupid videos. No, I'm not arguing for or against gun access. But think about the fact that watching a video is considered more dangerous. Countries that outlawed Tik tok (India etc ) now have higher use of Instagram, YT Shorts, and Facebook. That definitely is sooooo much better for kids. It is almost like this law is there to help some players in the market... None of those former Tik Tok users all of sudden started getting into quantum physics or do some other more useful stuff. I'm sure that company will get a fair trial since the federal and supreme judges aren't just political appointees..... Oh, wait....
  18. not a firmware update, windows 11 software update. I haven’t attempted anything really yet it was late last night and I had to get to bed and have been at work all day. I’ll have to check about that warranty
  19. I don't know how to update the monitor driver but my windows and GeForce experience is up to date
  20. BiotechBen

Okay... So because I'm dumb I looked at used 20…

My dad always said his dream daily was a V60 or a Buick regal wagon (ROW Vauxhall insignia estate)
  21. I’ll probably just avoid buying it because it would cost to much to replace thanks
  22. Without modding the case, is 356mm actually the max length for GPUs in the NR200P v2, or does it have extra room like the original? I'm specifically trying to fit the ROG STRIX 4080 SUPER which sits at 358mm.
  23. In this case it's apparently that the same ribbons have been used in cash registers etc that are still in use. But it's kinda funny that looking for one of these ribbons on eBay you find some for $40 a pop as "Vintage! Rare!", then I just googled the model and found... my country's official Epson site, selling them for $1.50 a piece
  24. AMD is still being weird making chips for AM4, but the platform is dead ended. Everything they've been adding is a lower-binned, or cut down 5800x3d. If you're going to spend money on a platform today, go AM5, not AM4. Or wait till the fall for Ryzen 9000 or Intel 15th gen.
  25. Even if they release more chips I don't think they will make something faster than the 5800X3D. We have no way of knowing what system requirements will be in the future, and what you need it to do could also change over time. So we can't say for sure how long it will last. Might last 5-10 years in terms of usable lifespan depending on how system requirements evolve over time. In terms of how long the hardware will last before it breaks that will probably be 10 years or more, especially if you have a high quality mobo, cooler, etc.
