If you paid for a DVD you did not pay for a blu-ray If you paid for a streaming service you didnt pay for any perpetual use. If you paid for a book, you did not pay for an audio book. If you paid for a book you did not pay for a different version of the book. If you paid for a MP3 album you did not pay for CD quality album. Etc, etc, etc. You have the right to strip/digitize your copy of a thing and do whatever you want with your copy. you dont have a right to OTHER copies. -

Ive found lorextechnology.co.uk (UK site) that looks good for the hardware side. Anyone had experience with lorex? Does anyone know if i can use 3rd party camera management software like zoneminder? -
Upgrade options for better fps in competitive games

Whats your utilization for GPU and CPU? For CPU i would go with the 5700x3d plus the motherboard. Even though Intel has higher clock speeds and more cores, that L3 cache on the 5700x3d defiantly makes a difference for FPS games -

This board is one of gigabyte's lower end boards, I would wager that the power delivery may not be up to snuff to sustain that absolute highest level of turbo. As you mentioned, in gaming it's not an issue which is a much more dynamic load, not as much pressure for constant turbo speeds. -

I did some digging in cases and to be honest with you, I wasn't keeping up with the latest prices of cases and all the stuff about performance/price ratio for the last month. After hearing people's suggestions, I can say that both Corsair 4000D airflow and NZXT 5 flow are not the best options right now or might not be ever. I am viewing the Lian Li Lancool 216 and Phanteks XT Pro Ultra right now as they seem to be the best value in the market right now. Also thanks for the mech case advice.

I guess everyone forgot how websites used a single pixel image as a tracking tactic, to see if their site was being loaded in whole, or if images were being scraped.
-
Also FYI right now my GPU doesnt bottlenech at all. Playing most games on high settings it pushes 100 fps at 60-75% utilization. In minecraft which is my main game, it gets 2000+ fps with high settings

Ah didnt think about POE, could use that since i might be putting ethernet through the house. Also just realised about the software like you mentioned blue iris, i forgot that existed and you can actually do that, i think i found a FOSS one that looks good zoneminder.com/ so ill keep that in mind (again, new to CCTV cameras). Do you know amcrests stance on possible going cloud only, or if they even have cloud services right now? -
What would be a good card to upgrade to, preferably without changing psu?
-
I just upgraded to a 14700k and iv noticed the Ecores when benching/stressing dont hold 100%... The temps are good with nothing hitting over 90 on each core/packet.. i have a 800watt psu.. that should be ok for this and the rx7800xt.. and theres no issues while gaming... just found it weird and was thinking i might be leaving some on the table... Iv tried tinkering with power setting in bios and bumping everything up to the 253 limit.. still the same thing ideas? mobo= GIGABYTE B760M DS3H DDR4

At this budget you really should look into buying used, but either way, you won't be able to play on ultra settings at this budget, unless the game is from 2010

Hi, I recently formated my PC, installed and updated every driver. It didn't occur before the format. Did anyone have similar problem and solved it ? I'm on windows 10 if it helps
-
Personally wouldn't pick either of them. Tempered glass side panels, other than looking pretty, offer nothing except downsides as far as cooling goes. But if I had to pick one... At least the corsair one doesn't make you buy a stupid addon if you want a vertical GPU. You only need the PCI-e extender.
-
Your gpu seems like the newest component here, but it's also ironically the first thing you would want to upgrade when you have the budget, because it is the bottleneck here. You also can upgrade to AM5, which won't give you that much more perfomance, but your pc will be more future proof

One more thought, make sure you have record of notifying UPS/Newegg and do so asap. Also talk to bank about options. Even if you don't dispute a payment immediately, you have a record to have complained in time. All parties (understandably) will have deadlines for filing a complaint. Like you can't successfully file a suit 3 years later about your lost package if that is the first time ever you told anyone. Also know there are scammers who receive their package, but will claim they didn't. All the parties involved get those all day long and need to separate out true and false claims. You want your claim look as legit as possible with police report etc.

@Blasty Blosty Marriott considered SHA-1 hashes a secure encryption in 2018. https://www.techradar.com/pro/marriott-admits-it-wasnt-using-encryption-before-major-2018-hack As long as Dell doesn't use MD5 they can't be worse! -
With all the fancy new testing gear you've got in the labs, how about a test of some USB plug in power supplies? You could do the little USB-A and USB-C 'wall wart' power 'bricks', and do one for universal laptop power supplies, and the USB-C higher powered chargers commonly offered for Chromebook charging. Try common brands like Belkin and Anker, as well as store brands and random generic stuff.

It is exactly how it works. Lets say i go over to Austria for shopping (i like mezzo mix but cant buy it locally). They dont have any right to stop me at the door after i paid just because im from Hungary. Same rule applies online. Paid for the goods so they can bugger off with their BS........ -

In the UK the prices on the 12400f and 5600 make me think you’d be way better off just getting a ddr4 system. They’re still super fast and honestly you’d probably be very happy with one for a long time. This would have you gaming very well at 1440p right now, and really it’d be no different than using a 7600x with a 6700xt (WAY faster than a 3060) PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600 3.5 GHz 6-Core Processor (£109.97 @ Amazon UK) CPU Cooler: Thermalright Assassin Spirit V2 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler (£15.90 @ Amazon UK) Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING A520M-PLUS WIFI Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard (£79.99 @ Scan.co.uk) Memory: Netac Shadow II 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory (£60.97 @ MoreCoCo) Storage: Western Digital Green SN350 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (£53.95 @ AWD-IT) Video Card: XFX Speedster QICK 319 Core Radeon RX 6750 XT 12 GB Video Card (£306.91 @ Amazon UK) Power Supply: Corsair CX (2023) 650 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (£54.99 @ AWD-IT) Total: £682.68 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2024-05-09 16:27 BST+0100
