Well, this has come around much faster than I was anticipating, I'll be honest this will be a low-effort event, between the few sign-ups and my own personal issues going on atm I must say that I won't be the best of hosts. 

But nonetheless, here we are, Summer Folding Sprint 2023. It is a little bit crazy to me to think that we are here, and with so few participants, which may be a reflection of running so soon after the BOINC event and I may have to look into changing the dates around a little and see if we do any better next year. But with that said, welcome to the sprint, for those of us in the northern hemisphere I hope you can handle the heat and pass the finishing line, we have already had 6 people not even managed to get off the starting line. 

In first place we see a familiar name with Shlouski, who takes the pole position with 79m points, he is certainly going to be the man to beat this event. Following him not all that distantly we see another familiar name with Mxyzptlk, our little mixie, taking up the second place with 70m points. I will certainly be keeping a close eye on these two as both has shown us that are highly capable folders in the past. justaphf is the last person on the podium atm, taking the rank with 40m he is going to need a miracle to climb any higher, but also is looking very safe in his place with 40m points. RollinLower I always enjoy seeing this name here on events, he is one of the few people out there who has competed in every single Folding Month so far and is a very frequent and helpful member on the forum. He takes the rank of fourth with 14m points. Following him closely behind we can see what appears to be a new name, hotredsam takes the number five spot with 13.6m points. 

And that rounds up the top five, and seeing as we have so few participants and I'm in lots of pain I'm going to leave it there for today. But here's a little reminder, if you miss even a single day, you are disqualified from this event. To make it a little more fun there are 3 LTT discord vouchers left over from the BOINC event so I will throw them in as prizes for this event.
