RAM frequency BIOS and windows mismatch
Dr_Orpington replied to Dr_Orpington's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Thank you for clearing that up for me. I seem to remember CPU-Z showing 1600 before. I guess I was wrong. -
My PC has an issue where the RAM frequency is detected by the BIOS as 1600Mhz but Windows detects it as 800Mhz. XMP is enabled. Relevant specs: Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P Ram: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz 9-9-9-24 OS: Windows 10 In software the timings read correctly but not the frequency. I have tried to adjust the timing to see if it would correct it (it didn't). I would have tried adjusting the frequency in the BIOS but the option is ghosted out so I can't adjust it. I tried to use AMD Overdrive to adjust the frequency, but it is also ghosted. I never had this problem in Windows 7. Any help is greatly appreciated!

The ZBOX MAGNUS interests me because it is the PERFECT size for a home theatre PC. Also, the perfect size for a college dorm room or any place where space is limited.

All of their products look outstanding! My favorite is the mouse though.

It sure would be great if all those flaps were drawers. Then I could put my PC on it... -
