Gaming Build for ~$1700

Hey guys, just want your opinion on a gaming build im planning to make at the end of this month. I do live in Australia and our prices are sometimes higher then usual, i will link the parts from the website im directly planning to buy from. I want it to be Micro ATX as i will be attending some LAN conventions and i do not have much space in my room.

My Budget is about $1600-1700 AUD for the PC unit itself, i already have a extra copy of  Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and peripherals etc. Also i plan on running 2x 1080p monitors but only use one for gaming, and i do care about the looks of my system  :P

All prices are AUD and links are from an Sydney, Australia online retailer. Shipping is around $30

Any Suggestions, modifications and feedback is appreciated.

Also should i hold off until the R9 280X is officially released and i could buy it here?
But i really want this built by mid next month as it is a gift to myself for completing the Higher School Certificate (final exam after High School and is what you most likely need to get into a university after).

Thanks  :)

After thinking for a while i have decided to change my motherboard, PSU and video card. THIS WILL BE MY FINAL BUILD

I would go for the 7970 unless it's significantly more expensive, which it might be since AUS prices are retarded.

7970's are any where between ~$330 all the way up past $400, so that might be out of the question. Here is a link with some basic pricing http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=193_1309

Getting a  7970 is a consideration, i might be able to fit it into my budget. But if i was to get a 7970 i would rather wait till the R9 280X is available here and see pricing on that, performance wise based on the LTT vid that just came out, it performs slightly better then a 7970.... but the price is what im primarily looking at.

Also i am thinking of changing the motherboard, as it is a bit pricey thinking of going with a ASRock Z87M Extreme 4 LGA 1150 or a ASUS GRYPHON Z87. Which would you guys recommend?

With this i can actually get the 7970 or a GTX 770, but still planning to wait for the R9 280X

If the prices of a 7970 are that similar to the 280X, get the 280X because it's new. I would go gryphon over extreme 4 because it's ASUS and the beefy VRM will be great for the overclocking you are planning.
