I've got that stealth case beaten-I've still got the Gigabyte one from one of my cousin's Celeron 500 rig. (its I/O shield was part of the case) Despite its small size it was easily able to fit my i5 rig and my GTX 970. All while looking like a solid POS from 1998 (it is really worn and beaten-not a single part of the case is straight or square).

@Jumper118 , could you add this link to the OP? It will help people with safe over clocks for their CPU's (up to a first gen i7) in regards to temps and voltages.

Finally posting here again after an extended break from overclocking.  What I don't understand is why my 970 varies from as low as 136 fps all the way up to 153.  Is it because the gpu isn't being fully utilized?

The first score has my CPU at 4.0ghz (809).

The second score has my CPU at 4.4ghz (856).

Well...I think you may have reached the limit for your 970.  Do you have yours at 1570mhz on the core clock stable 24/7?  If so then I'm incredibly jealous  :P

I had something similar happen with my 780 after doing a run of Unigine Valley last year.  I'm pretty sure the problem was that I overclocked it all to hell.

1570/2030 yup.

Wow, someone won the lottery :P.  The highest I've ever gotten (while stable at least) is 1480/1900 with SLI enabled.

Perhaps I could get a higher clock speed if I tested each of the cards individually.

Probably not, but the ice wouldn't last too long.

I'd be worried about condensation yes.

Though according to these people there are some ways to bypass or lessen that problem: http://www.overclock.net/t/1024290/radiator-in-bucket-of-ice/10

Well I got round to benching the new A8. As I've said it's not as good as the old one but it's still the 2nd best FM2 I've used.

SOC Champion is the way to go. 8pack was using one to bench 4 way titan x and 5960x for 6-8 hours per day on ln2 and i think they got 11 world records in the end. meanwhile, people doing the 1 vs 1 death matches manage to kill 3/5 msi z97 mpowers, so they had to use the spare mpower and 2 gaming boards. :P

yet need cpuz and gpuz screenshots please

also @ProKoN i got 1363 on XTU at the event with a 4790K@5.6375ghz (55X102.5) on 1.79v with the cache ratio@52 on 1.45v and G.Skill PI@2200 cl7-10-7. the cpu was -100 to -110c on ln2 :) i also got 402 on a pentium at 5.5ghz with some differnt ram as well.

Surprised the mpowers failed so soon...being an msi event and all. I have yet to go sub zero on a msi board but dice isnt no where as crazy as LN2.

If it was Prokon + Gigabyte mainboard that board prolly would have died  long before I even got the LN2 pot mounted....F$$#%%^ Gigabyte

Im guessing you dont want to post those scores on the bot because you will be in extreme league.

Sounds like it was really fun. wish I could be there.

might just have to ask the community for donations so I can visit the UK or just go door to door like I normally do...

You don't have the best G1s. :( My Strix is quite rare to be completely honest with being able to run 1548/1900 stable 24/7... Though I have a rare Strix, it isn't a G1... Wish the G1s weren't like $370 when I was buying a new gpu, but glad I got a Strix with Samsung memory.

yes i met 8pack. he acutally lives not too far from me, so i might be going to see him to do some world record level benching :D

I think the mpowers died due to being cold for so long and i helped insulate a couple of them.

You would be ok with gigabyte board, as long as it was an oc board not a gaming board.

I never got screenshot of my scores, because we were only had 1 hour for each round of the death match, but yes, i'm pretty much in the extreme league now.

There was an event in canada, but you must of missed it. it was the first stop on the hwbot world tour. It would be great if you could come to the UK for the next one. I'll hopefully go to the event in france as well next year as well as the UK event.

also i might not be going under water this summer any more. water is too warm.................... ;)
