Case Modding

Afranqui

Hey all, I was thinking about modding my case to put two additional fans in the side to help cool my GPU SLI config. I was wondering if anyone has done something similar to this. Also wondering if anyone had some advice drilling holes in the side panel. Its not a metal side panel its a clear panel. I am pretty sure its not a glass, probably a plastic panel. I was thinking about trying to do a push pull deal with the fans just to get a little more airflow.

Thanks.

What case do you have?

A push pull effect in a side panel would be really weird.

Bitfenix Aegis. I was just trying to see if anyone has done something similar and seen any results. I have read threads, but haven't seen anyone actually say that they saw a difference or not.

If you just want a proof of concept before cutting up the window to determine the best cooling solution you could use some cardboard and cut some holes for fans and tape into place as mock up side panel to give you some results of how things will be. Most times it does help to an extent if it works in conjunction with the current airflow setup in the case.
