how much a ups will last ?and do i need to keep it plugged in all the time ?

after i turn off my computer do i need to keep the ups plugged in all the time

and just turn it off by the power button ?

 

it is 1000VA UPS 700 watt according to the ups manual

a UPS is supposed to go in between your device's power cable and the wall.

 

its kind of the idea you put it in place, and leave it there. if you want to make sure to save power, you can turn it off.

 

as for how long will it last:

 

well, looking at the components: if the electronics are well built, they'll outlast you.

 

as for the battery, i've seen lead acid batteries make it well past the 20 year mark. and they werent treated as well as they should have been.

i khnow from searching the internet 1000 VA UPS will give 600 watt

so how can the manual and also the website of my UPS said

1000VA WHICH IS 700 WATT UPS ?

Most UPS wattages are 50-60% the VA rating 70% is pretty high and not very common, I would say it's a 600W from what I've seen on the market. And you can leave your UPS plugged in and turned on always just like a power strip it acts only when needed when bad power is detected or a blackout occurs.
