Splicing MacBook power cable safe?

Hey y'all, a girl on my floor at college had her pet rabbit chew through her MacBook power cable. I took it apart and spliced it back together easy, but is it safe to assume that this will be safe and not kill her MacBook in some way?

As long as you properly connected the wires it will be fine. Especially if it's the low voltage wire that leaves the brick, then no worries at all.

as long as the wires are connected properly and securely, no. I have fixed plenty of cables.
