GPU won't fit in 1st slot

Juggernaught
Go to solution Solved by CapricaBuccaneers,

It's perfectly fine to run your graphics card in another slot - my first aircooler did the exact same thing and I had to run mine in the secondary PCIe 3.0 x16 slot. No issues.

I have the MSI xpower ac and after I installed the air cooler on it I noticed that the first slit is covered up. Currently I only have one 980ti and was seeing if it's okay to put it in the second PCIE slot? What happens when I go SLI can I do the second and third slots?

Thanks in advance [emoji6]

Can you take a picture? From what I can tell about the board, no CPU cooler should cover any PCIe slot on the board. DIMM slot yes, but not a PCIe slot.

Is the air cooler blocking the slot? Can you send a picture of what's going on?

I was afraid of that. So it's not good to put gpu in second slot?
