Question about "reference" 980 Ti's

I want to add a second 980 Ti to my system (I have an EVGA SC with the reference cooler) and I've been stalking NewEgg's website for weeks now but they have not had any in-stock for awhile. They have cards from other manufacturers (Asus, Zotac, etc.). 

 

Since I want a reference card, does it matter if the manufacturer of both cards in my system are different?

the card itself should be the same, if its reference. maybe with slightly different clocks, but that wont matter in sli.

It's fine, you can add different brand as long as it's 980Ti.

nope any gtx 980tis will owrk togeather just buy another brand it doesn't mater

imo you shouldn't have a reference 980 Ti as it literally throttles itself (it can't handle it) but yes, it will work.

 

I'm with you on the throttling but I will be watercooling the card (existing card is already watercooled).
