How dangerous is it to OC past MOBO TDP?

Go to solution Solved by SImoHayha,

From what I heard, the VRM or something has a max CPU TDP.

I don't think OCing it will effect it that much..If you have heatsinks on the VRM's its fine

My CPU (FX 8370e) and Motherboard's (GA-78LMT-S2 1.2) Max TDP is 95 watts and I OCed from 3.3 GHz to 3.5 GHz. Is it dangerous to the VRM and other things to OC past the motherboards max TDP?

You are on a need to know basis, and you don't need to know.
