Help getting office on Windows 10 pro?

itachipirate

Hi I upgraded to Windows 10 with a Windows 8.1 professional key, and I have Windows 10 pro. How do I get office? If I click "get office" it only shows up with "sway" and "onenote" and I don't want either of those. I wanted excel, word, etc. If I go to the website and download office, then use my W8.1 pro key to try and activate it doesn't work either. Any help with this is appreciated :) I really need Microsoft Excel!

You need a key for office to activate it, not windows.

Office isn't free you (insert stupid word here). Office costs money.

So what's the difference between Windows 10 home and Windows 10 pro?

Mostly business stuff.

Windows 10 Pro is for tech-savvy power users or small businesses that need things such as built-in BitLocker encryption, Hyper-V virtualization, legacy Internet Explorer support and remote-desktop features. For the average user, this is generally overkill and not worth the extra money it will probably cost to get the Pro version.

Ah ok thanks. I thought the pro version came with Office. I guess the Hyper-V virtualization is useful to me, but nothing else haha.
