Howcome I cannot upgrade to Windows 10?

Firearm2112

I reserved my copy and everything. This morning, I booted my computer ready to upgrade when I noticed the windows logo on the task bar is gone.

Also if I go to Windows Update there is no option to update to 10. Just says im reserved.

I am running a legit copy of Windows 8.1 Pro

Thanks

It's being rolled out slowly; you're not going to be able to upgrade automatically.

Not everyone will get windows 10 on launch day as it is rolling out over the next few weeks or so.

this worked for me:

"My first text on reddit. If you failed by running setup.exe and this command (wuauclt.exe /updatenow) is not working to you need to DELETE all contents from C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download. Worked for me! Because of deleted BT content my updater didnt work (some errors on past updates in Windows 10 Update), now works!"

1.clear your C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download first

2. "wuauclt.exe /updatenow" type that into cmd with admin privileges. Enter it multiple times to make sure.
