Trouble deciding which card to get

jjar35

So I have it nailed down to two different GPU card options, I'll be using these for 4k video and picture editing, gaming at 4k, and 1440p @144Hz, and lastly some 3D building (though that is more CPU intensive).

My question is simply which do you believe will be the better option?

option 1: 2x Gigabyte G1 GTX  980ti

option 2: 2x ASUS 980ti Strix

I have had gigabyte in the past and they have treated me well, but I have always heard good stuff about ASUS as well. Reason I ask is because I heard of coil whine issues on the G1 though that may get resolved in the next 30-60 days when I buy them. Any opinions guys?

Go for the cheaper ones, or the ones you like the look of most. The difference in performance is very small.

go for the cheaper one or the one that suits your build better/looks better. (if you have a side panel)

Strix:

Best you read the reviews yourself, too early for anyone to own a Strix. Focusing on the temps and noise would be a more important deciding factor.
